The ump called it fair he should go get the ball and argue after. And isn't it the home plate ump's call when the ball has not crossed 1st base yet? He should make the call. Not the 1st plate ump. WilliamTell Posted August 25, 2005 Share Posted August 25, 2005 From what I heard from the Twins announcers on the radio, Konerko dove for a foul ball and it hit off of his glove, thought it was foul and still tossed it to Hermanson who dropped it or something, Konerko grabbed the ball and was arguing with the first base ump while the runner Rodriguez ran through Al Newman's stop sign at 3rd base and with a good throw would've been out by at least 15 feet.
