Cleveland, Detroit, Baltimore, Anaheim, etc. etc. How come everyone hasn't crushed the lesser teams and have a low ERA like Buerhle? Because he has the best f***ing ERA in the league.

I'm just saying, it's not just him.  Everyone in the media seemed to think that just cause Pods was back, it would mean the entire offense would pick up.

 

Well the offense played much better when Podsednik was not hurt. That was there point.

What's Cleveland's record this month, and what's ours? If we don't play better, and they continue hitting the way they're doing, this division is very much up for grabs. Scoring 2 runs a game is not going to give our pitchers enough with their red-hot offense.

Well the offense played much better when Podsednik was not hurt. That was there point.

Before he was hurt, and just sitting out games they were 11-5 at one point. Look at his numbers. He doesn't drive in runners, and steals are nice, but don't mean jack if you don't score. His runs total is very ordinary.

Because he mainly feeds off the garbage of the league.  Look, I love Buehrle, but the guy hasn't performed that great this year against better teams.

Yeah, plus he has a tendency to not pitch over errors and give up a lot of unearned runs. Already given up 17 this year.

I didn't know we would play s***ty D, and yet I knew this team was going to get shelled. I don't know if our D is will be good tommorrow but we will get shelled.

 

I have followed this team since 1968, everyday, every game, you begin to know there tendencies. two aces got shelled two days in a row. The tendency is not good. They need a shot in the arm.

That's exactly how I feel. I can't sit here and argue this anymore. He hasn't beaten playoff teams and I can't watch this game anymore.

And look at that, Buehrle gives half of it back right off the bat. The first freakin pitch. Im not sure whats worse. The lousy offense (Im used to it now), the shoddy defense (it seems to be a recent creation) or the s***ty pitching (it seems to be getting worse as time goes on). Bostons lineup is just as mean as Texas'. So dont be happy just because Texas is seven under .500. And Im warning ya, these guys will kill BMac.

 

And isnt it convenient that Tad gets his hit with no men on, instead of earlier when there were two outs and men on second and third? Nice clutch hitting, another thing that got us here in the first place.

Sweeping the 4 game series in Cleveland is just about the difference with these teams. If Cleveland would have swept, there would be a tie right now in the division at with tonights showing so far, the Sox would be looking up at the Tribe. If Cleveland just split, they would be looking to cut the lead to 3 tonight.

He has a quality start in 19 of 25 starts. And he leads the league in ERA, and 2 of those are Oakland, who owns him. Two are even KC. He's beaten plenty of good teams.

you seem like an apologist for the team. and before you say I am negative, let me state I am truthful. Spot the tendencies, see the holes. I am too old to fall in love with players and be a fan like a kid. I want a winner. You can't wish for winners, they actually need to be made.

I never really thought we were all that much better than Cleveland. The large lead was pretty much a result of our easy 1st half schedule. In the 2nd half, the schedules are basically reversed. I still think we'll win the division but it wouldn't surprise me if the Indians cut it down to 1 or 2 games.

Two of his non QS are against KC. I suppose that makes him not a great pitcher because he can't dominate the bad teams. I mean, i just can't believe what I"m reading.

There is not 1 team in MLB where Everett is a 3 hitter, except the South side of Chicago.

He hasn't beaten LA at all, so you're making up stats. Cleveland was bad when he beat them, and Baltimore was awful the second time. Playoff teams, he hasn't beaten.

Detroit? Sorry, but in no way is Detroit a good team. Id put them closer to KC than to Boston.

 

Jermaine grounds out with runners on first and second. It seems that we have adopted selectively unclutch hitting. Get out when it counts, and get hits when it doesnt. I swear, I bet JD homers in his next AB.

He struggled against Boston and Oakland. He's struggled in 2 out of 3 games against the Twins. He's having a very good season...but he has to pick up his game the rest of the way.
