Any reason for that thought? Just cause BUerhle gave up 2 in the first?

Well thats a good start, but I will go further and say that texas hits us well especailly at there home ballpark. They hit the tar out of the ball. We don't. In addition we have a habit of making new pitchers who we don't see alot into cy young winners. You think I am wrong?

Yeah, his fastball is straight and barely exceeds 92 mph. While McCarthy's curveball bites well, his changeup is nonexistent. Sit on the fastball, as Texas did his last outting, and this game is over quickly. Can't live in this league as a two pitch pitcher unless both pitchers are above average.

Hopefully his reformed pitching angle--which has payed dividends at AAA- works well tomorrow.

yes todays game will get out of hand, and Mcarthy will get shelled. sorry for the confusion.

I thought it was odd, given how McCarthy has been handled by Texas and how long this game had been scheduled, that they didn't have BMac pitch in Seattle and back everyone up a day.

I don't know that you are wrong persay, but considering that Burly didn't give up a run in his last start against them, that was just kind of surprising to hear.

Don't forget Garcia's struggles against the Mariners this year.

Buehlre has pitched well against Texas in his career. No excuse for these weak changeups Buehlre is floating up there. Anytime he wants to pitch like an ace is fine by me. He should shut them down from this point on. I don't care how formidable their lineup is--good pitching beats good hitting.

Recently Buehrle has been getting hit. Although I have no stats, I think he has allowed alot of hits in the last 5 starts. Now, if your doing that against crappy lineups its ok, but against big hitting lineups like texas, redsox, yanks, and so on, it catches up to you.

I was talking about Burly. Not Bmac.

Well he will give up 6 tonight. Maybe 7 before he departs.
