DBAHO
According to the Sporting News' Dan Pompei; 17. Soldier Field, Chicago My feelings about this place are as mixed as its styles of architecture -- Roman columns and space-age steel. On one of America's great skylines, Soldier Field stands out like a pimple on a pretty face. Yet, this is the best setting in the NFL -- surrounded by museums on Chicago's lakefront. Downtown is visible from most seats, and Lake Michigan is visible from the east concourses. Many of the details that make a good stadium slipped through the cracks when this place was made. Still, it's a nice environment to watch a game. http://www.sportingnews.com/yourturn/viewtopic.php?t=10830
Spod=Ratings
Metrodome should be last not 27th
3 BeWareTheNewSox 5
From the outside, it's herrendous, I definately see the UFO landing comparisons. Love it from the inside, I have only been in after the renovations so I can't compare, but I liked the seats, the views, cool stuff around the stadium and I couldn't go through the whole thing
CWSGuy406
^^^ I agree. It just doesn't look right from the outside. I don't know, I don't like the tanish color of the old stadium below with the metallic look of the new part. From the inside, however, it's absolutely beautiful. The seats look great, and if you were to look at a picture of the outside, then the inside, you'd probably think they were two different places. LosMediasBlancas
No matter where you sit, you feel like you're much closer and right on top of the action. Miller Park has a similar feel.
WSNS-TV44
I think Solider Field should have been a tad higher than 17th.I was there against Oakland two, three years ago.And it's not great on the outside, but great on the inside. P.S.:"Monster" Park in SF?
RockRaines
This is one of the best places to watch a football game. You are extremely close to the field and the viewing angles are superior to the old field.
Steff
I would agree it's a great place to watch a game. I can't see the list at the link (work firewall) but we've been to 5 other stadiums over the past 3 years and the only one I hated was Miami. Loved Tampa (which IMO is the best). GreenBay last year was a huge treat. And we liked Cleveland and Baltimore a lot also. On my list SF would be 5th I guess behind TB, GB, Baltimore, then Cleveland. Tampa Bay is an awesome stadium and a great play to watch a game. I went last year. Also last year I saw Jacksonville's stadium. Not too hot. Green Bay is classic and fun. I go every year. I agree with Green Bay as a good place to see a game. But there's always the "Cheeseheads" that always ruins that experence. But Bears fans like us can give them as much hell as they do,maybe even more!
