Just as everyone got comfy with the 3 minute blasts, they said, oh yeah? well try THIS. That attitude of, f*** you, I'll do what I want, how I want, IS punk rock. Those guys branched off and damn near made dance music with their later bands. Whether you like the sound or not is a matter of opinion, but I always dug their willingness to change and lack of fear of failure.
