Randar68
QUOTE(Heads22 @ Aug 31, 2005 -> 11:30 AM) http://www.futuresox.com/modules.php?name=...article&sid=201 Young not being on the team is silly. Those first 2 months cost him a .290 30-30 year. He's been the best player in that league for the last 3 months.
Gene Honda Civic
1) Chris Young got screwed. 2) I didn't notice, but Rogo has slumped at the end of the year. He was over .300 for the entire year.
Randar68
QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Aug 31, 2005 -> 11:34 AM) 1) Chris Young got screwed. 2) I didn't notice, but Rogo has slumped at the end of the year. He was over .300 for the entire year. Rogo at one time was around .330 near the end of July, IIRC. Had a rough August.
RockRaines
you gotta love the lead off man of the future Owens, 24, has been the catalyst for the Barons offense all season long from the leadoff spot. He currently leads the Southern League in several offensive categories including hitting (.337), hits (169) and runs scored (95).
SoxFanForever
Yeah, Young really got hosed on this one.
Chisoxfn
QUOTE(Randar68 @ Aug 31, 2005 -> 09:34 AM) Young not being on the team is silly. Those first 2 months cost him a .290 30-30 year. He's been the best player in that league for the last 3 months. Ya, I was stunned to see he was left off. Whoever made the vote rode the short bus to school every morning. farmteam
QUOTE(RockRaines @ Aug 31, 2005 -> 12:55 PM) you gotta love the lead off man of the future Owens, 24, has been the catalyst for the Barons offense all season long from the leadoff spot. He currently leads the Southern League in several offensive categories including hitting (.337), hits (169) and runs scored (95). I love how we got Owens essentially for nothing, since all we did was trade Escobar for him.
Jordan4life_2007
Damn! What happend to Casey's batting average? Wasn't he hitting in the .330's not too long ago?
mannyfast
QUOTE(Jordan4life_2005 @ Sep 1, 2005 -> 06:10 AM) Damn! What happend to Casey's batting average? Wasn't he hitting in the .330's not too long ago? He has struggled in August. I think most of it is from being tired. The Barons have had a pretty Hellish schedule of late with rainouts / doubleheaders. They have looked tired the last few games I have seen at the Met. daa84
QUOTE(Heads22 @ Sep 2, 2005 -> 02:38 PM) Hermida, Murton and Young. pretty damn good company.....you can really only argue for chris ahead of murton, and even tehn its a push, murton had the higher average, c.young has the brighter future though.......
