bighurt2719
You pessimists were saying this season is over for us. Well, I say that the slump is over! Our production over the last few games proves it to me. We got to keep this momentum going until playoff time, then IT'S ON!!! Does anyone else agree that the slump is over?? Felix
Hey, we couldnt win games against Texas in Texas, and the Tigers have an amazing pitching staff compared to Texas.
WSFAN35
QUOTE(Felix @ Sep 2, 2005 -> 08:43 PM) Hey, we couldnt win games against Texas in Texas, and the Tigers have an amazing pitching staff compared to Texas. Texas is a much better home team than road team. The Tigers and the Rangers pitching staffs suck equally. Even if it is the Tigers though, at least our boys will get some confidence back and have some swagger before they go on to face tougher teams. Either way you look at it, The Ballpark in Arlington is a hitters ballpark. And we couldnt score enough to win the games there :\
RME JICO
This is a good sign. .615 BA, 13 AB, 4 R, 8 H, 6 RBI, 2 BB, 0 K with 2 2B, 2 HR. That is the line for Harris and Uribe in the last 2 game combined. If the Sox get that type of production or even half that production from their #8 and #9 batters, they will be good to go. Uribe just looks more comfortable at the plate and he is patient. I can't believe he has not struck out and he is drawing walks. This looks like the 2004 version! bulokis
Our offense needs to continue hitting well, get their confidence up and who knows where it will take us. They have to continue working the count, be patient and hit where the ball is thrown not over swinging for every pitches. Great job so far!!!!!!!!!!! greg775
It's safe to say Scotty, not the equally cool Iggy, is really our team MVP. Keep it going, Sox ... and start losing, Tribe.

With Pods in the lineup, they score ~5 runs a game and are ~30 games over .500 With him out of the lineup, they score ~4 runs a game and are 1 game over .500. Enough said. Jordan4life_2007
It's nice to see multiple guys hot at the same time. And yes, Scott makes a huge difference.

Keep it going, Sox ... and start losing, Tribe. Offensive MVP. There is no clear cut MVP on this Sox team. The pitching staff sucks without AJP, the rotation sucks without them actually being good(yeah, that is pretty much not hard to figure out), the offense sucks without Pods at the top of the lineup, the offense sucks without any run producers, the team does not gel without Ozzie coaching it, and the team is not together without KW. kevin57
Yes, it's good to see things clicking again, especially at home where they play like they hate their fans.
