ottawa_sox
QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 5 @ 2005 -> 01:37 PM) He'd have the biggest ass of a Little League player since Sean Burroughs. QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Sep 5 @ 2005 -> 01:38 PM) Juan has a huge ass and when he bats it looks even bigger the way he stands at the plate. QUOTE(knightni @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 01:39 PM) These are definitely personal attacks. Not necessarily. You need a big hammer to drive a big nail. the southside tiger
Although I'm not the biggest PK fan, he is no doubt the MVP of this season. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> All he does is hit homers. MVP is Iguchi, by far.
santo=dorf
QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 12:50 PM) Timo get him over. Nice job. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> BUT HIS OBP JUST WENT DOWN!!!!

maggsmaggs
QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 11:50 AM) Someone's in their free agent year stretch drive! Even if it results in him going to a different team after this season, at least he's contributing so much to this team. He will be the Sox's top priority in Free Agency. He is a top 5 first baseman, a big leader on this team and as close to a superstar hitter as we have.
fathom
You had to know that after Widger's long AB last time, he was going to have a short AB. His batting average sure has fallen.

the southside tiger
Widger sucks. If AJP needs rest, put in Cassanova. I dont want to watch this schmuck Widger play. A popup with a runner on third? How many times are we gonna screw up with a runner on third and less than two outs?
DBAHO
QUOTE(the southside tiger @ Sep 6, 2005 -> 03:51 AM) All he does is hit homers. MVP is Iguchi, by far. And yet Iguchi would have a worse OBP, OPS and K/BB ratio to Konerko.

fathom
QUOTE(the southside tiger @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 05:52 PM) Widger sucks. If AJP needs rest, put in Cassanova. I dont want to watch this schmuck Widger play. A popup with a runner on third? How many times are we gonna screw up with a runner on third and less than two outs? Widger's had some huge hits for the team this year. Also, he's done a great job catching McCarthy in the last game and a half. It's just a little disturbing to see such a poor AB in a big spot. Gene Honda Civic
Really a missed opportunity there. Schilling has been bad all game, we were finally starting to get to him. Timo/Widge/Blum, there's a reason we cringed when the line-ups came out.
fathom
QUOTE(knightni @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 05:53 PM) Woo! Man on third, less than 2 out again. Nada. Like I said a few minutes ago, every insurance run counts against the Red Sox. I'd even suggest that Widger AB could be more critical than Pods getting picked off. fathom
Is it too much to suggest Ozzie should get Cotts ready in the bullpen? With the 2-3-4 coming up, Cotts should be ready in case Nixon is up in a big spot.
