Rowand44
QUOTE(the southside tiger @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 12:34 PM) Garland pitches like a coward (look guys, I was careful how I said it! ). Watch Pedro pitch. He attacks hitters. He could have faced Babe Ruth without even flinching. And he would have come right at him. He doesnt back down for anyone. Garland is scared of the hitters. He will never be a great if he doesnt gain courage. As for Ozzie, he was here last year and we stunk. Its the new guys who made us good. We are winning in spite of Ozzie. All he does is bring bad publicity with his goofy jokes. And, McCarthy, all I can say is damn. He will be on my favorites list shortly if he keeps this up. 14 straight innings without allowing a run, but unlike Garland who did his scoreless streak against Detroit and Oakland (when they stunk), BMac has done it against Boston and Texas, the two best offenses around. BMac is an aggressive pitcher, and he will soon be better than Garland could ever hope to be. Ace in the making, and a completely different pitcher than he was earlier. This kid aint scared of nothin'. It's funny how garland and pedro basically have the same bb/ip ratio.

fathom
Why would you set up inside with Politte? Everyone knows that his ball tails back towards the hitter. Politte's control has been real shaky lately, and I'm not so sure he was our best choice to bring in this inning. What more does Cotts have to do Ozzie? the southside tiger
It's funny how garland and pedro basically have the same bb/ip ratio. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If you gave me a helmet and a bat, and told me to face Garland, I wouldnt be scared. Id jump right in there. On the other hand, if you told me to face Pedro, Id tell you to get lost. Pedro is intimidating, Garland is not. Maybe its because Pedro will throw at anyone and be all ready for the fight. I like that. You dont hit a teammate of Pedro because he will get you. If Garland was pitching, they could peg Everett and PK in a row and Jon would still do nothing. Everett might whoop the pitchers ass, but on wouldnt do a thing. He is timid. Pedro lets everyone know whos in charge. Jon doesnt do that.
