I'm in tennis and it's a b**** to serve when your lower back is killing you. when you are working out, do some for the lower back. the one thing that most forget you need to do the same amount of exercise to the opposite side of the muscle. so the bottom line if you are doing regular sit-ups, then do the invert sit-up. i can't think of what it is called. then do a slooowwww streching exercise for the lower back. LDF
thing is most men works on the abs and forget to work out the back. the trainer for bulls or sox i can't remember who said this, but what he said is you need to work both sides of the muscles. which means the abs and lower back. he mention that you see a big increase in players who suffers from a hammy, b/c they work on the front part of the muscle of the thighs and forget about the hammy and groin. Hey, you aren't the only one with lower back pain. Occassionally, I'll get some lower back pain to where I can't do a hurdler's stretch and get to half way down my shins. For some....that may seem hard as it is. But I'm a tall, skinny kid....and I'm pretty flexible, considering I'm a guy. Since then, I haven't benched. That's what does it to me....benching kills me.
