Does New Orleans still qualify for the high population lists?

9 New Orleans, LA $31,369

Seriously though...please note...the 9th poorest city in the union was just destroyed. In other words...the people there really don't have the money to get their lives back together, and in many cases, they didn't have the money to get out.

But, but. . . they were TOLD to evacuate. . . Why didn't they all just do what they were told...?

Yes, help the people.  Many of 'em right into body bags.

It's not politics.  It's disgust at top to bottom ineptitude and lack of preparedness.

I should have used this smiley... -> :rolly

We're #1!!

Hidalgo County Texas. My home county.

This doesn't tell the full story. Our wealthiest residents report their incomes south of the border and live here on the weekends. Our best communities are almost ghost towns until Friday afternoon.

We support three private country clubs. Have the largest grossing sales per square foot mall in the US. But most of this starts out as pesos before reaching the border.
