WHarris1
QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Sep 7, 2005 -> 08:49 PM) Well its nice to see that we are beating the crap out of a crappy team. OH Wait we are hanging on a thread because our guys cant hit with men in scoring position. Yeah, heaven forbid we only beat a team we are 11-2 against by 1... knightni
QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Sep 7, 2005 -> 09:51 PM) Yeah, heaven forbid we only beat a team we are 11-2 against by 1... We beat em by 3 walks and a wild pitch, IIRC.
southsideirish71
QUOTE(jphat007 @ Sep 7, 2005 -> 07:48 PM) No its not. Uribe swung at the first pitch the time before and got a triple. Almost a HR. Just not getting the right hits at the right spots tonight. It happens. Its the royals, you are expected to beat this team into the dirt night in and night out. Their pitching is terrible. You are not supposed to be dangling a 1-0 lead going into later innings with Mike Wood pitching.

jphat007
What a great job of pitching by Jose. That AB tells a lot. In the past Jose would have walked Blanco after the AB he had, and it woulda been bad with Sweeney on deck. Now he stays aggressive and gets him out. It's similar to what Cotts has done all season.

At least 1 more inning. Only 93 pitches. Retired 10 out of the last 12 batters I believe. Gotta stay in.
qwerty
QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Sep 7, 2005 -> 08:56 PM) Great job by the Count. Personally I think its time for the bullpen. 93 pitches or so? I want contreras to either win this game or lose this game himself. If he looks shaky the first batter ( walk or hit right away) take him out.
