WHarris1
QUOTE(Sox Hustler @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 08:36 PM) I don't think I've seen pitchers give up their leads as much as I have this year with the sox... :headshake Yeah I'm pretty sure a lot of teams have done that more than the Sox this year. Maybe later in the game but maybe I should've said right after the offense scores some runs they let the other team come right back the next inning. Balta1701
QUOTE(jphat007 @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 06:36 PM) Another quality start! That'll work Freddy! In all seriousness though...if you're a playoff team, you shouldn't have any difficulty winning most of your games when your pitchers throw quality starts...there's really very little excuse for not being able to at least score 3 runs against most pitchers in this league. The dreaded leadoff walk...Carl thanks you for the help...now Paulie needs to extend that hit streak.

fathom
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 9, 2005 -> 01:40 AM) In all seriousness though...if you're a playoff team, you shouldn't have any difficulty winning most of your games when your pitchers throw quality starts...there's really very little excuse for not being able to at least score 3 runs against most pitchers in this league. In a scoreless game where your team finally scratches across two hard earned runs, you can't go out the next inning and throw as many poor pitches as Garcia did. I'm not sure if it's a lack of focus with him, but he certainly has a habit of allowing runs after we score the previous inning.
