Dick Allen
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Sep 9, 2005 -> 09:54 PM) He hasnt all year. And whats sad is its not going to change in September. The weird part is he used to be so much better from the left side. Now he looks like Jose Valentin.
greg775
Dye ain't no star, either. Let's face it we're winning with mirrors. We're gonna be hanging on by a thread before this is over unless the Tribe starts sucking. I don't care if we won 7 in a row; we're not playing good ball. I'm most pissed at Freddie for not beating the Royals the other night. That was one we needed to put away and sweep, not give up a 2 run blast to Berroa. We are only gonna go as far as Fred, Mark, Jon, our bullpen and our defense take us. If Fred, Mark and Jon don't dominate we are fricked.
BigSqwert
Enough of the Everett bashing. He's not the reason we lost today....well he's part of it. But Mark should have done better.

Or if only KW acquired someone at the deadline. Everett will probably get hot again at some point, but right now he is terrible.
BigSqwert
QUOTE(greg775 @ Sep 9, 2005 -> 10:56 PM) Dye ain't no star, either. Dye is hitting for better average and has more HRs than Carl. I think that's enough reason to bat him 3rd.

Freddy blew it yesterday, and Buerhle had runs to work with today. These guys make a lot of money to shut these teams down, and they didn't do the job. SnB
Carl has no reason to be in the 3 hole, i've been saying this for months. Put the hot hand in there, right now it'd be uribe. But rotating dye, rowand, etc. would work a hella lot better than everett.

BigSqwert
We are now 0-6 in extra innings at home. Not good for a team most likely to get homefield advantage. Edited September 10, 2005 by BigSqwert
Ozzie Montana
Carl's probably tired since he's been in 113 games this year and only 82 last year and 73 the year before that. This is maybe a reason for his struggles.

Gene Honda Civic
QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Sep 9, 2005 -> 10:45 PM) In our 16 extra innings at home, we have scored ZERO RUNS. OzzieBALL! This stat was wrong, but the point remains.... In our 17 extra innings at home, we have scored ONE RUN.... That was a Frank Thomas HR to tie it in the tenth against the indians. OZZIEBALL! southsideirish71
All we have been hearing on this board is about how we can pitch to the Angels because all you have to do is to avoid Vlad. Buerhle needs to avoid bats instead. The minute the game goes into extras the fan patrol shows up waving for the fences like madmen. 2 strikes, f*** it, swing with the bottom of your heels. Dont get cheated. How this team panics when they get behind late in a game. How many times have we seen a relief pitcher K 2 or 3 in an inning.
