Ozzie Montana
This is definately a marquis matchup on national TV. Let's get back on track and end the skid. Only 35 BB in 194.2 IP by Colón. My advice is take your pitch, hit it hard, and string em together. bjm676
Garland, meanwhile, would prefer facing somebody other than one of the American League's top pitchers. ''I want out there whoever my hitters want to face,'' said Garland, who is 17-8 with a 3.28 ERA. ''I don't care about a matchup like that. I want whoever my hitters want. As long as they put up runs, I don't care who it is out there.'' Not exactly the attitude of someone looking to earn the Cy Young by taking part in a showdown with one of the AL's best. ''There might be a little bit into it, but nothing to write home about,'' Garland said. ''I'm sure he would rather see somebody out there who would give up runs instead of somebody that will shut them out for nine.'' Not sure what to make of those comments. But we need this game. It's big.
SoxFan562004
QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Sep 10, 2005 -> 09:14 AM) Not sure what to make of those comments. But we need this game. It's big. well at least in the playoffs he won't have to worry about it really though, IMO these aren't really what I want to hear. I think Sox are now 12-18 against playoff teams, they really need to pick it up, I would like to see them play better, too many missed opportunities last night
Brian
Timo in RF, Crede back at 3B. Can't remember the whole line up but Pods is in LF, Rowand is batting 3rd. Better sit Dye before he stays TOO Hot.
3E8
Pods, LF ... Iguchi, 2B ... Rowand, CF ... PK, 1B ... Everett, DH ... AJ, C ... Perez, RF ... Uribe, SS ... Crede, 3B ... Garland, RHP.
Gene Honda Civic
Timo Perez: 9 extra base hits this season. Juan Uribe: 8 extra base hits this September. Oh, yeah. I agree with this lineup construction.
3E8
QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Sep 10, 2005 -> 10:51 AM) Timo Perez: 9 extra base hits this season. Juan Uribe: 8 extra base hits this September. Oh, yeah. I agree with this lineup construction. It gets better: Everett 21 AB's vs. Colon, 10 K's. .190 AVG. Inserted into the game solely for offense. If Rowand can get it going in the #3 spot, it's a double win. Everett's a lot better in the 5 spot.
Harry Chappas
This would be an ideal situation for Borchard. Good defense and as likely to get a big hit as Timo.
