WilliamTell
QUOTE(elrockinMT @ Sep 10, 2005 -> 03:30 PM) I guess it's agood thing Blum can play 10 field positions cause he can't hit I'm hoping bench warmer is considered 1 of the 10 field positions. Whitewashed in '05
If they don't screw it up, I don't know what to expect in the playoffs. I don't have a lot of confidence in them, they suck.
Colorado Sox Fan
I went to the game again today. For the first time in my adult life, I left a game early. I figured if I wanted to see Charlotte play, I'd fly to NC. What a horrible game. It's pretty obvious this team can't win against good teams. Cy Young? Yeah, right. This team is one and done in the playoffs. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

Colorado Sox Fan
One other thing: Can ARow look at one pitch after Colon walks the ballpark and walks in a run? Just one pitch, that's all I ask for.
Colorado Sox Fan
QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Sep 10, 2005 -> 02:46 PM) He did? Maybe it wasn't him, but I swear he allowed Guerrero to score from second on a bunt. I may have been seeing things. I know, a lot of other things went wrong, but he could have made the play couldn't he????

I've had to hear Rex f***in Hudler blame Ross for that play like 90 times already. Gload's not Japanese.

Harry Chappas
QUOTE(Jenks Heat @ Sep 10, 2005 -> 10:05 AM) This would be an ideal situation for Borchard. Good defense and as likely to get a big hit as Timo.

I hope his future with this organization doesn't extend far beyond this season. It would have been true-- if this were 2002. RibbieRubarb
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Sep 10, 2005 -> 04:33 PM) Crossed the line there. So your saying you would rather the Sox just choke in the regular season, and not have a chance to win the whole thing? Why again are you a Sox fan? Explain this, because it should be good.... I've heard pessimistic people on this site, but NEVER have I heard someone wish the White Sox to NOT make the playoffs when the Magic Number is 15. Just so they don't see them lose in October. That is unreal.
nitetrain8601
That is choking. Is this team ready for the playoffs? They look far from it, but hoping they pull off one of the biggest choke jobs in the history of the majors is not cool man. Just hope Ozzie doesn't start Buehrle or Garland in Game 1 and actually decides to use all his starters minus Timo. Jordan4life_2007
I guess losing in 3 or 4 in the first round is acceptable to some people. They can always say "atleast we got there." That's not good enough for me. This team broke my heart in 93. We didn't even get a chance in 94. Another pathetic showing in 2000. I admit, saying I hope we miss the playoffs is a little steep, but I can't take another 3 and out first round showing this time around. And that's exactly what we're headed for. Let me see if I follow your "logic" The fact that we are not jumping off a roof means we accept losing. But your suggestion and/or wish that the Chicago White Sox LOSE is rational because you can't handle them losing in the playoffs. In your assesment, if failure is an option...don't try. Sounds like you accept losing more than we do.
DBAHO
Just because we hit a bad stretch and we're not performing that way we'd like to against other playoff teams, doesn't mean we're going to go 3 and out come October. Anything can happen once you get there. KW built this team for the playoffs, with good pitching, speed and being able to score 3 to 5 runs a game instead of 10 one game and 0 and 1 the next two. Call me an optimist, but my position has never changed from the start since the Sox were winning and were nicely out on top in the division. We can still win the whole damn thing. And what's the point in losing? It's not like we're down the bottom so we can get the best draft pick which is hardly beneficial anyways. You play every game to win. Bottom line.
