White Sox Josh
They f***in beat themselves. Henne fumbles the ball in the ENDZONE! IN IT! Than in the 3rd Quarter when your best reciever is open i mean WIDE OPEN in Jason Avant he throws the ball to the tight end who was double covered and it is intercepted. Henne is not even close to being the best QB in the Big Ten.

Me too. The just blew their national title chances if they ever had it to begin with. With a Michigan win and an Ohio State win they could've been #2 in the nation. But they'll be around #15 or so after this. I wanna just go into my room and never come out again, I'm so pissed off.

Either today was them being exposed for what they really are, or today will be the wake-up call they needed.

Henne is not even close to being the best QB in the Big Ten. I didn't see the game, but that's impossible. Once you cross the plane it's a TD. Unless, he fumbled it in his own endzone, and it was a safety.
Palehosefan
Henne fumbled the ball at the 2 and the defender recovered in the endzone for a touchback. Either way, Henne looked horrendous pretty much all game long. He showed off a great arm, but didn't have a clue where it was going. Kevin Grady is going to be a real good one though, and both QB's in this game will be NFL 1st round picks before its all said and done in my opinion. AddisonStSox
Well, the Irish get a chance to "prove" themselves all season long. Let's see how they fair against USC, Purdue, etc. before we wake up the echoes. EDIT: Oh yeah, you can add Tenn. to that list as well. WilliamTell
QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Sep 10, 2005 -> 04:43 PM) Michigan is overrated, pure and simple. They may be overrated and my not be. But they've earned the right to be called an elite team, which I'm sure no one argues about. Hopefully that loss is a big learning lesson. black jack
I don't think Michigan is overrated. They just seem to always struggle or play down to the Irish. Weis deserves a few kudos here. Thank goodness for instant replay. two clear decisions (the fumble in the endzone wasn't clear on the field) that went against us on the field were both correctly overturned. Rex Hudler
Henne fumbled just before the goal lone on a QB sneak from inside the 1 yd line. I thought he scored on the QB sneak the play before, but that is neither here nor there at this point. They still should have scored on that possession. Henne really struggled today, making lots of bad decisions. Some very obvious such as the 4th down play at the 5 and the final play of the game, but other times he threw to the wrong receiver or tried to force the ball. He'll have better games and they will improve. They will still be in the hunt at the end. Quinn was also off a bit after that first drive of the game. Perhaps we need to give the defenses more credit?? Edited September 10, 2005 by Rex Hudler

White Sox Josh
I think Avant showed why he is the best reciever in the Big Ten right now. He caught almost every pass to him. he will be a STUD NFL wide out. You heard it here first.
nitetrain8601
What about this Texas and Ohio St game. I thought Texas was going to blow them out at the beginning of the game but Ohio St fought back and has the lead. I'm hoping for a Texas win. wsox08
Michigan hasn't impressed me at all this year.. They could have easily lost to NIU and they lost to Notre Dame.. All I can say is that I'll enjoy having Illinois have a better record for a few weeks..
Dam8610
Well half of Notre Dame's job is done. Now all that's left is to lose to Purdue.
White Sox Josh
This says it all. Michigan had 1st & Goal twice in the 4th Quarter and didn't score either time. :puke :puke
greasywheels121
ND won that game. I'm glad about that. However, some ND people are getting a little too ahead of themselves. Ty had a pretty nice start to his inaugural year too..
