WHarris1
QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Dec 24, 2005 -> 02:21 PM) Man, quite the game going on in Washington. What are the playoff implications here from the Bears perspective? Anyone know. Would a Washington loss help the Bears more? If either the Skins or Bucs lose the Bears get a playoff spot. Personally I want Washington to win, because a Bears win+Giants loss+Panthers loss=Bears bye Edited December 24, 2005 by WHarris1
knightni
Don't the Bears have a tie breaker vs Carolina?
Chisoxfn
QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Dec 24, 2005 -> 12:23 PM) If either the Skins or Falcons lose the Bears get a playoff spot. Personally I want Washington to win, because a Bears win+Giants loss+Panthers loss=Bears bye That could all happen. I'm pumped, the only dillema I have is how to get my moms side of the family to leave my dad and I alone while we watch the Bears game at my aunts house (none of them like sports so we always got to pull tooth and nail for the tv). Chisoxfn
Well Carolina and the Giants lost so that means a Bears win clinches a bye (or thats how i understand it). Lets do it

Heads22
QUOTE(knightni @ Dec 24, 2005 -> 03:23 PM) Looks like Bush is going to the Texans. As long as Domanick is capable, I'm of the crowd that thinks you draft him and then trade him for proven talent.
knightni
Yeah, like the Bears drafted Benson after already having Jones.

Palehosefan
The Texans would be retarded not to trade down, teams will be dying for Bush and possibly Vince Young or Mario Williams at the top slot. At the very least they can trade down one spot and still draft Ferguson while gaining an extra pick or an extra OL.
WHarris1
Palehose, your Steelers looked impressive as hell today. I watched the game with my Uncle who is a huge Steeler fan and you guys are definitely back on track.
DBAHO
Well somehow we're still in it, I don't know how, but we are. And I don't care who you are, winning in Carolina means you must be pretty good. I still think we can possibly do some damage in the playoffs, but unfortunately losing Flozell Adams has killed any chance this team had getting of getting thru the NFC. Bill Parcells, your number 1 task in the off-season, get a damn GOOD Right Tackle. And no, Rob Pettiti or Mark Colombo ain't going to get the job done. And I think Ware proved something today to those who said we should have taken Shawn Merriman. 3 sacks and 3 forced fumbles. That's gotta be defensive player of the week surely. Oh and Julius Jones, he's BACKKKKKKK.

DBAHO
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Dec 25, 2005 -> 10:49 PM) Ya, great, he starts to play well again once I'm out of the playoff picture for fantasy. :headshake It is a bit of worry for him that in his 2 seasons he's been injured quite a few times. He's shown though, when his legs are at 100%, he's got that burst and cutback ability, that makes him a top 10 RB in this league. Of course, he hasn't been helped by the subpar play of our O-Line this season which has been my main gripe with the Boys this season. It's also a reason why the Bears have done so well besides their defense. THey've protected the QB well, and it's really helped the running game. Teams like the Texans and the Browns today have shown, if you don't have a good offensive line, you're not going to win a lot of games at all. I'm the joke of one of my leagues for trading Larry Johnson back in October. How about this for bad luck: My top 2 qb's were Bulger and Pennington(we start 2 qb's in our league) and my top 2 wr's were Javon and Darrell Jackson going into the season. The only things that kept me alive were Chambers and the Bears d.
Palehosefan
Yeah Willie they put a nice buttkicking on yesterday. Its just too bad that they had the big slip-up in the middle of the season without Ben and lost the division and any homefield advantage. I actually feel sorry for the Browns, thats a horrendous franchise, every one of their 1st round pick's have been busts or hurt so far. Gerard Warren, Courtney Brown, Tim Couch, William Green etc, its just sad.

Parcells has been such a boob. He essentially gave up on the running game the past couple weeks and thats why they had struggled. Run the ball with your two good backs and they are just fine. But Parcells isn't what he once was.

Well you've got to remember against the Skins they were behind from the start, and before that against Kansas City, Jones just didn't run good at all. But he's averaged about 6 yards a carry in the last 2 weeks, so it looks like he's back. Should run all over the Rams next week as well.
