WilliamTell
It's probably the first time nearly everyone has seen it considering the last time it happened was in 1941.
greasywheels121
Yes, we should never be talking about a goal-line stand against Arizona. However, the Colts weren't playing ANYBODY today. AWESOME ending to that game. The Colts won 17-13, after forcing a fumble on the .1 yard line with 19 seconds left in the game. The refs orignally ruled it a TD, and it would've gave the Cards the win. The Colts challenged, and it was obvious that the ball never got across the plain when it was in his hands. 14-2 regular season for Indy, best record in franchise history. Now it's time to get ready for the real games.

Balta1701
Doug "I am a deity" Flutie drop kicked a ball through the uprights for an extra point today. The first drop-kick in the league since 1941.

Palehosefan
Nice ending for the Steelers. Fell behind early to Detroit, but came back to take the game easily. Willie Parker ended up with a great season, 1202 rushing yards and 1420 total yards from an undrafted 2nd year RB. Nice. Ben Roethlisberger struggled though, so thats very worrysome. Atleast it will be a matchup with the Bengals and not the Pat's first though.

We've definitely had our share of Brady-Manning debates. You guys are definitely peaking at the right time. I hope you guys beat Jax and we have to play you. I'm very happy that we finally beat you guys in NE, albeit you guys weren't up to strength. If we're going to finally do this, I want to see them do it against the best. I guess it's kind of like when the Sox had to face the defending champs to go anywhere in the playoffs.

Please don't tell me you think "God's team" from NE is simply going to roll into Indy and beat the Colts? Depleted or not, the Pats put themselves into a very bad spot having to win on the road to get back to the Super Bowl.

Depleted or not, the Pats put themselves into a very bad spot having to win on the road to get back to the Super Bowl. We'll see what happens. They might not even play the Colts. But there's no reason for a Colts fan to be arrogant about playing the Pats, because New England has won in Indy before and they've won the AFC Championship on the road before. SnB
question: who would the bears play in the 2nd round, is it the winner of the skins/bucs or panthers/giants? I'm assuming it's the skins/bucs, but just want to make sure.

Afraid not. This is one of the better teams we have seen for a while. I can't say I like anyone's chances against a full-strength Indy team in the RCA Dome....remember, Indy had already begun to rest some guys in the SD game. Balta1701
QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jan 2, 2006 -> 01:41 PM) http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2278077 Brees has a torn-labrum and will not be able to throw for four months. I wonder if this spells the end for him in San Diego. I would almost guarantee it means Brees will face the "Franchise" tag again next season...but I would add that I think it's lunacy for the Chargers to hold onto 2 QB's again next year when they could use the additional cap space and acquire something decent by trading 1 of them (They still need help in their Secondary and their receiving corps IMO). As far as I know, he'll still be under our contract for 2006. But if you saw the way Leonard Little terrorised him in the final game of the season, and how important it is to protect Drew Bledsoe, improving at RT is the #1 need on this football team right now. GoodAsGould
Or maybe if Parcells leaves the Drew Henson experiment begins... he has had enough time to get re-adjusted to everything so unless he is a bust without ever getting a chance really... DBAHO
QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jan 4, 2006 -> 10:43 PM) Or maybe if Parcells leaves the Drew Henson experiment begins... he has had enough time to get re-adjusted to everything so unless he is a bust without ever getting a chance really... Drew's pretty much a lock to go to NFL Europe at this stage. Unfortunately, right now he looks like a bust. They changed his throwing action from the sidearm, but now they've gone back to it, because he's more comfortable with it, and seemed to throw better with it. At this stage, I'd say Bledsoe's pretty much a lock to be the QB in 2006.
