you're such a hippy sometimes

:P

I guess in my old age, I just have attained perspective. Yeah I want to see the Sox win every game, but with a new house, a baby on the way, and everything else going on, a baseball game just isn't worth getting that upset about. This year has really helped me to remember that this is a game. I watch and play games for enjoyment, and it if I don't get something positive out of it, it is a waste of time. If I got upset and stressed over it, what is the point in watching it?

I'm glad you had a great time at the ballpark, but girl - I could really learn from you! I had no idea they let people hang out by the players' parking lot. Hell, I'm not even sure I know where that is! I would give anything to meet A.J. - but God only knows what I would do or say if I did - so maybe that isn't such a great idea!

I think it is awesome those guys acknowledged you and your friends. This is what I call fantasy baseball! :P

Between this story and all of the Man Soo stories, we have some killer people on that team, and even greater people in the stands. Nice story!

It would be so cool to tie some of those stories to a Championship year. I have some good ones...BP with the team, Seeing AJ's come-back homer against the Dodgers, taking my cousin for the first time....

Now this is exactly what has been missing from a lot of people lately, and that is the enjoyment and love of the game.  So many people have been hung up on the results, that they forget to enjoy the moment.  Baseball is a 3 hour vacation from the rigors and stresses of life.  To be able to experience the love of the game is truely a blessing.

The people of New Orleans know this all too well.

Except their's was a football game...and all these athletes stepping out of their way to visit these people.

I agree baseball is a glorious game no matter what the result.

It's just the weird way this season has gone, getting up by 15 games or whatever and seeing it dip mostly because the Indians are playing like the 57 Yankees.

The spectre of blowing that lead has lingered ominously over the season a bit.
