I understand the frustration with Duque, but let's give some credit to Ana. That is a solid ball club who handed it to Mark B. and Garland as well.

Sorry, I'm an Angel fan and I think they are built similarly to the Sox, but it is far from a solid lineup. The Angels have had a putrid offense for a while now. Sure, maybe its coming together, but fact of the matter, Duque gave up HR's to guys that don't hit HR's and he has been getting shallacked left and right.

What matters more right now, respecting el duque or winning games?

Good point there! Plus I have read that Ozzie might have a problem with backing his players to the point he is a captain of a sinking ship. I think you need to support all 25, but when they ain't got it and you are trying to win I think you go with who can get it done. McCarthy can and El Duque hasn't been. Maybe Ozzie thinks Orlando can suddenly find it just in time to carry the team? I would hate to be wrong about that if I were Ozzie.

The fact of the matter is that McCarthy has pretty much been dominating and El Duque has been on a constant downfall, if I were Ozzie and this team makes the playoffs, Im goign with the hot hand in Game 1 and if Ozzie is smart....games 1 and 2 will be McCarthy/Count or vica versa.

There is a good shot Brandon wont make the playoff roster, let alone start game one.

:banghead

I know that but I am saying, look at how he has pitched vs playoff teams or contenders in his last 3 outings....Texas, Boston, and Aneheim. If he is the hot-hand, I feel I could trust him and I would start him in game 1. The likelihood is probably none to none but hey, that's what I would do.

Do you consider yesterday's two innings serviceable?  Just wondering.

Well, what he's done over the course of the year has been serviceable. Not great, but he was brought in to be one of the back of the rotation guys. We paid $3.5 this year for about a 5.00 ERA out of our fifth starter. Considering what everyone else got, I'm not going to complain.

But, his time is up, and McCarthy is the better pitcher right now, so Ozzie needs to stop this sentimental bulls***, and put the better pitcher in the rotation (sorry for being repetitive).

I hope the yankees are foolish and give us something/anything for him. They are the only team that i can realistically having interest in him.
