knightni
QUOTE(CYGarland @ Sep 13, 2005 -> 10:23 PM) It's been a GRIND all season long man. I think I can count on 1 hand how many games we blew out the other team. If grinding your teeth was what they meant by grinder ball this year, I would have bought stock in Maalox. Yeah, even games where we jump ahead to a big, early lead, the other team still seemed to at least get the tying run to the plate sometime over the course of the late innings. Guest JimH
Earlier today, White Sox Josh said he had a loaded shotgun ready to put in his mouth if there was any more talk of Mike North doing color on the radio. What do you guys have with a stranded leadoff triple, a loaded bazooka?

We got somewhat lucky in the 1st half winning all those 1 run games. Now it's coming back to haunt us, as are pitching hasn't been nearly as good in the 2nd half. I just we can turn it on the rest of the way, because if this thing get's within 2 games by the end of this week.......................... I think I'm going to have a stroke. We'd have to win a game this week to likely keep the lead above 3. No offense to certain posters, but I can't believe there are still some people concerned about having to face the A's in the playoffs, and thus are rooting for them to lose even against the Indians and Twins. fathom
I wouldn't mind a DH against KC, as the Royals would likely play a ton of benchers in one of the games. Thus, if Ozzie plays a standard lineup both games, we could have a big advantage. However, if we have a DH, the loss of Marte will hurt.

Makes that lead off triple stranded non existent as well.

Trust me, I want the Sox to win every game they ever play. However, if the Sox were to continue to struggle and the lead shrinks even more, I'm very worried for Hawk's mental health. He's put so much of his ego on the line for this team, that I'm not sure he'd get over it anytime soon. Anyways, lets hope it never comes to that.
