Greg The Bull Luzinski
Way to go in ducking the reason the previous poll was closed. You should run for office with those manipulative abilities. I like the topic anyway. Edited September 13, 2005 by Greg The Bull Luzinski

Credepopsup
QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ Sep 13, 2005 -> 05:13 PM) 14 As we've already won the season series with Cleveland, I thought it was 13..? Or am I wrong, and the season series doesn't come into it? EDIT - It is 14. I really thought that the season series counted as a tiebreaker. If a tie in the ALC is worse than the ALWC then CWS host CLE in 1 game playoff. The extra game adds 1 to MN for 14. If a tie in the ALC is better than the ALWC then CWS wins div based on H2H (10-3). In that case the MN is 13. At present CLE is the ALWC so you can say the MN is 13 but subject to change

knightni
Is there a timeout in someone's future? I really don't see the point of dragging out a "magic #" thread. It just increases everyone's angst over the Sox' recent slumping and Cleveland's surging.

JUGGERNAUT
Indians won all their coinflips so if they were tied with us we would have to stay in Cleveland to play them again <{POST_SNAPBACK}> http://www.10news.com/sports/4965882/detail.html The dreaded coin-flip. I stand corrected. It should be decided by H2H. By all you mean a 1 game playoff vs CWS, OAK, or NYY. It doesn't mention what would happen if it were to tie ANA or BOS for the ALWC. Where the game is played has no bearing on the countdown. First post updated. The poll was suppose to be locked to prevent reply's so that it could be treated strictly as a countdown thread. Seeing that's not the case it should be closed. Edited September 15, 2005 by JUGGERNAUT
