Dick Allen
They should leave Garcia in to give up 15 runs tonight. BS effort tonight.

fathom
QUOTE(longshot7 @ Sep 15, 2005 -> 02:01 AM) C'mon, he's been stellar out there all year. It's just 1 bad game. Oh yeah, Freddy needs to go. Give the bullpen some work. 2 triples? He's been anything but stellar. Even the most positive posters on this site think he's a disgrace of an outfielder. Balta1701
Oh thank you Ozzie for finally coming out. If Neal only faces 1 hitter I'm going to cover my floor in vomit.
infohawk
Is anyone up in the pen? This may end up being one of those games I have to turn off and check the score later. Thank goodness, here comes Ozzie. It's about time. This is one of the games we really need to hang on to.
knightni
Martinez Ks on a high pitch. 1 down. 1st and 2nd still. 3-3 tie still. Zito has 5 walks tonight.

Blame him 100 percent. I disagree. Garcia battled his ass off to get thru 5 innings. It was obvious he had nothing, yet Ozzie put him back in the game. At some point, a manager has to put personal friendship and stats aside, and do the right thing for the team.

greg775
Nine runs and this will go down to the wire, provided KC doesn't take the lead here, which is possible. Get your head out, white sox, cleve is gonna win so we must.
Balta1701
QUOTE(greg775 @ Sep 14, 2005 -> 07:02 PM) He's one of our top pitchers. It's his fault, not Ozzie's for godsakes. There was no reason for Freddy to be pitching this inning. There was even less of a reason to leave him out there after the leadoff triple+error. fathom
Is it me, or does Ozzie not respect the Royals? There have been numerous games against them lately where he acts like they're not capable of coming back from a 4 or 5 run lead.
Whitewashed in '05
Ozzie blows...and so does Freddy Pods could have done better but it isn't only his fault, I don't think that s*** would have happened if Ozzie never let Freddy start the inning. Dick Allen
QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 14, 2005 -> 07:59 PM) I would take Carlos Lee over Podsednik on defense. I never thought I would say such a thing. The White Sox actually considered putting Pods in CF and moving Rowand to LF when they made the trade. Rowand really has picked it up defensively the last couple of months, his throwing is still erratic, but even when he wasn't at his best earlier in the season, he is so much better of a fielder than Pods, it makes me wonder about White Sox scouting. infohawk
We don't have the margin in this game anymore to mess around. As it stand now, we'll probably end this inning up by two. As bad as the Royals are, I don't want a tie game in the late innings with their hard-throwing relievers coming in. Their bullpen is pretty decent.
