retro1983hat
A couple of months ago I began a thread asking what MLB was going to do if this Saturday's game was going to be a clincher because there is no TV. Looking back, I wish my biggest issue with this team is worrying how I would get the see the clinching game. Now I am just praying we do. So for all the wondering, speculating and worrying about Saturday's game not being televised, I apologize. And since Ozzie does not want to disrespect El Duque and he will be starting Saturday, I may be happier not watching.

Chisoxrd5
QUOTE(ceffa2000 @ Sep 15, 2005 -> 09:01 AM) What happened to the Fox broadcast? I sawa a snippet before the news last night that they aren't going to be able to televise the game for some reason. Ok...I didn't read up on this but I think this is the situation... Fox owns the rights to broadcast all Saturday Morning MLB games. They paid a large sum of money to obtain exclusive rights to these games... The Twins scheduled the game on the 17th to start at 11:10 in order to be able to pull the metrodome doubleheader, Twins in the morning, Gopher football at night. The problem is the game starts at 11:10 and not 12:20 as Fox always has it's games begin. So...they are not going to pickup the game and have already tagged the Cubs-Cards game as their midwest regional game. So that leaves this game without a home... I did hear that WGN or Comcast is trying to get a waiver from MLB/Fox so they can air the game on tv...we shall see

True, I would rather the Sox have a deal in place like the Black Hawks do! That would be friggin' sweet!
