White Sox Josh
I think we will do to the indians what the 99 braves did to the mets that year. What happened was the Braves had a decent sized lead in August (i think it got up to 6 games at the most) and the Mets came back and were actually in first a couple of times. A big September series rolled around at Turner Field with the Braves just a half a game up over the surging mets. Well the Braves swept the Mets in 3 games and pretty much ended the division race. Chipper Jones pretty much won the MVP because of that series alone. He had something like 5 HR's in that series. That's exactly what i think will happen in the Sox-Indians Series. TheBigHurt
There we go! Some optomism! Hey, I look and I see good things. The Sox just took 2 from Minnesota after scoring only 4 runs in the series. Good baseball. We've own Cleveland this year. Winning the division SHOULD be easy(knock on wood). Third of all, if there are so called "trolls" here that no one wants then it should be up to the administrators to get rid of them, to tell people they cant post their feelings to another person's thought isn't right, except in the case of personal attacks and such, which I don't recall there being any. thank you though for your meaningless post Edited September 19, 2005 by the People's Champ

Usually we like to warn posters before giving them the boot unlike some message boards that we have been compared to recently. If such behavior continues, suspensions and banishments are eventually handed out. I'm concerned that you think it's an oxymoron. Right now you seem to be expressing yourself fine without inciting a flame war. The "do not feed the trolls" line is just sort of a preventative reminder that I hope stops at least some people from lashing out at the bait of every Indians troll or any other team's troll. Someone needs to hammer Mr. Donkey for his mean-spirited and insulting manner toward anyone who disagrees with him... Is he just wimpy? :headshake Seems like I just had to answer ANOTHER thread about this same theme. Again, I'll post it here, for PC too. You can say what you want on here as long as it is respectful. My saying the "Sox suck" right now is my opinion. My saying the "Sox suck donkey #$^$%& and they also @#%E$%^$^& and blow #$%E$%^&" will probably get you some time off. Say what you want, but be respectful. If not, you're on a short leash. We provide a place for you all to vent. But if you're going to vent, at least be tasteful about it. And trolls? No, they don't have any "rights". We run this how we see fit, I do believe we've earned that right, the last time I checked.
ZoomSlowik
I could definitely buy us sweeping them. Last night excluded, they haven't been putting up a whole ton of runs recently. After hitting .295 in August, they're down to about .270, and I think that went up about 15 points after the 11 run outing. Only 4 of their regulars are hitting over .240 this month (granted those 4 are also over .300, but I digress). Amazingly this month the Sox are at .279, with A.J. and Carl being under .270 (and Carl is really bad this month). Although Cleveland's ERA has been fantastic of late, we get favorable pitching matchups in this series. The only one I see as close is Garcia vs Millwood, which could go either way. However, we seem to have a big advantage in the other two with Buehrle and Garland facing Westbrook and Elarton. I'll be at the game tonight, so let's get this division wrapped up already! Dick Allen
The Sox are going to have to figure out how to score some runs. If they only get 4 in this series, they will be very lucky to win one. Garcia, Buehrle and Garland have to pitch like they did earlier in the season. Hopefully Garcia can go at least 7 or 8 innings tonight to set the bullpen up for the whole series.
YASNY
The way Mark's been pitching lately, I don't consider that a very favorable match up. I'm hoping he can step up like the solid veteran he is and come through for us though. We really need it.
