The problem is when people search for things during games that sloooooooows us down so much, At least that is partially what jason has told me before. Hopefully there is a way to improve the mysql capabilities of the board and just get it to limit the uses. Were going to try and close down the search functions and other high output functions during game threads. Also next day without a game were gonna shut the site down for a few and do a board upgrade (who knows, maybe it will somehow help). The server is up during thos times...the mysql just hangs up and sucks. It really isn't the server....hate saying it, but I know invision boards are capable of handling more people than this...its just a matter of getting the database squared away and preventing the mysql hangups. There are ALOT of folks hitting refresh during gamethreads, everytime that is done, a command is sent out...hopefully cutting search out/down will help.
