Soxy
I don't know about the Sox, but here's one for Soxtalk. . . I'm so happy 'cause today I've found my friends ... They're in my head I'm so ugly, but that's okay, 'cause so are you ... We've broken our mirrors (Alt: We broke our mirrors) Sunday morning is everyday for all I care ... And I'm not scared Light my candles, in a daze 'Cause I've found god Hey, hey hey [x6] I'm so lonely, but that's okay, I shaved my head ... And I'm not sad And just maybe I'm to blame for all I've heard ... But I'm not sure I'm so excited, I can't wait to meet you there ... But I don't care I'm so horny, but that's okay ... My will is good Hey, hey hey [x6] [x2] I like it - I'm not gonna crack I miss you - I'm not gonna crack I love you - I'm not gonna crack I killed you - I'm not gonna crack I'm so happy 'cause today I've found my friends ... They're in my head I'm so ugly, but that's okay, 'cause so are you ... We've broken our mirrors (Alt: We broke our mirrors) Sunday morning is everyday for all I care ... And I'm not scared Light my candles in a daze ... 'Cause I've found god Hey, hey hey [x6] [x2] I like it - I'm not gonna crack I miss you - I'm not gonna crack I love you - I'm not gonna crack I killed you - I'm not gonna crack

Balance
Here are a few ideas- "Pressure" by Billy Joel "Too Many Ways to Fall" by Arc Angels "Slip Sliding Away" by Simon & Garfunkel Not very optimistic. But win a few against MIN and DET, and we'll all be singing, "I get knocked down But I get up again You're never gonna keep me down" ("Tubthumping" by Chumbawamba) (Or else, we'll be drinking a whiskey drink, a vodka drink, a lager drink, and a cider drink, all at once.) Greg Hibbard
The Steve Perry stuff reminds me of both Sox parodies I wrote in 2000: "Herbert Perry, we neeeeed a run.....HOME run, HOME run!" (WELL IT SHOULD'VE BEEN GONE!) - written on that one day we pummelled cleveland on that 7-0 road trip with three near homers. I think Perry had two of em "McKay Christensen the time has come, and you know that you're the only one..." okay, enough derailing.

Felix
Bob Dylan - The Times They Are A-Changin' Come gather 'round people Wherever you roam And admit that the waters Around you have grown And accept it that soon You'll be drenched to the bone. If your time to you Is worth savin' Then you better start swimmin' Or you'll sink like a stone For the times they are a-changin'. Come writers and critics Who prophesize with your pen And keep your eyes wide The chance won't come again And don't speak too soon For the wheel's still in spin And there's no tellin' who That it's namin'. For the loser now Will be later to win For the times they are a-changin'. Come senators, congressmen Please heed the call Don't stand in the doorway Don't block up the hall For he that gets hurt Will be he who has stalled There's a battle outside And it is ragin'. It'll soon shake your windows And rattle your walls For the times they are a-changin'. Come mothers and fathers Throughout the land And don't criticize What you can't understand Your sons and your daughters Are beyond your command Your old road is Rapidly agin'. Please get out of the new one If you can't lend your hand For the times they are a-changin'. The line it is drawn The curse it is cast The slow one now Will later be fast As the present now Will later be past The order is Rapidly fadin'. And the first one now Will later be last For the times they are a-changin'.
