Commander Fisk
I've been hoping for this for a while now. one of Ozzie's few good adjustments, although I'd rather see rowand at 3. I've always felt that if PK had a legit #3 and #5 to protect him, he'd have more RBI's and a better average. Everett is mediocre and AJ is a #7 IMO. At least with Dye at 5, PK might see better pitches and not have to rely on walks. God only knoes why OG put him at the 3 spot when he was the hottest hitter in the league. At any rate, I lool for PK and Dye to start picking up the slack. If only we had Frank our offense would rock: 3 Frank 4 Paul 5 Dye

I think they should bench everett till he learns how to hit again
DBAHO
Yeah Dye's been at 6 for the majority of the year, yet he's been in our top hitters probabaly after the bad start. He only has about 80K's as well, so he's not doing badly on that regard.
YASNY
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Sep 24, 2005 -> 01:36 AM) Yeah Dye's been at 6 for the majority of the year, yet he's been in our top hitters probabaly after the bad start. He only has about 80K's as well, so he's not doing badly on that regard. Dye started coming out of his early season funk when Ozzie moved him to the #6 spot. Ozzie's been reluctant to move him from that spot ever since.
Jordan4life_2007
I'm just glad Ozzie FINALLY decided to shake up the line-up a little bit.
Traveler1776
80 Ks and 80 pop ups with runners in scoring position.
fathom
QUOTE(Traveler1776 @ Sep 24, 2005 -> 04:20 PM) 80 Ks and 80 pop ups with runners in scoring position. And the most homers by any right fielder in baseball. You know what I noticed in Dye last night....a sense of trying to make up for the night before. It would be nice to see this type of urgency from a few more players.
CaliSoxFanViaSWside
Hell I wish OG would move Dye to the 3 spot. He's the closest thing we have to what you want in that position , speed, power, average. Since Aaron is the best on the team at hitting with RISP with 2 outs move him to 5th, that way in the first inning he could be up there with 2 men on and 2 outs. We were playing our best ball jumping out to early leads.
bjm676
I liked the shuffle. Although, I don't think Pierzynski is a prototypical 3rd hitter. Thanks to Dye, we won the ballgame. Otherwise it would've been another 1-0 loss thanks to our awesome clutch hitting.
