captain54 Posted September 25, 2005 Share Posted September 25, 2005 (edited) I honestly think that Ozzie is going nowhere in 2006, no matter what happens this year, but stranger things have happened in MLB.... I think Piniella would be a great fit as manager of the Chicago White Sox in 2006... In the Trib today it was mentioned that the chain between Reinsdorf, the Hawk, and Piniella is "transparent" (whatever that means).... do you think that means that the Hawk could have something to say about Ozzie's status next year????? Keep the guys lose in the bench and be an interpreter. Sort of a motivator. So we give Ozzie 's son's job to Ozzie and his son as the official bat boy. Well, correct me if I'm wrong, but there has been a lot of speculation of both Cashman and Torre out the door this year. I'm 99% certain Cashman's contract ends after this season and if his Steinbrenner-hand-picked Yankees fail to make the post-season, I think you very well may see both Cashman and Torre out of the Bronx.
