VAfan
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 03:56 PM) Here's a question...if all 3 teams wind up with 96 wins, the Sox would clearly have home field advantage in the ALDS...what happens with home field in the ALCS? Best record head-to-head? I'm sure if we have home field in the ALDS, it will carry to the ALCS.
JUGGERNAUT
With a win today the division is ours because the WC can not finish with a record better than us. That means H2H decides the division & we own CLE. The reason the WC can not finish better than us is because you add 2 L's to either NYY or BOS for their final series. That's 67L. With a win today the worse the CWS can do is 66L. So today's game in DET is for the ALC division crown. GO WHITE SOX !!
quade36
It is impossible for both the Red Sox and Yankees to win 96 games seeing how each team has 4 games left and 3 against each other. If Boston wins 96 that means the yanks can at best finish with 94 wins.
