White Sox Josh
Colon's stats aren't that great with the exception of wins. In fact he hasn't even had a great 2nd half. He has gotten a ton of run support. His ERA is 3.48 which is high for a guy contending for the Cy Young. In fact a lot of Buehrle's stats are better. I think this next start for Buehrle will decide the outcome of this thing. This race is still up for grabs.

White Sox Josh
QUOTE(whitesoxfan99 @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 12:25 PM) Santana should be the Cy Young. wehether he should or not it won't matter because he doesn't have 17 or more wins and a Starting Pitcher has never won the Cy Young with less than 17 wins. He will be in the same boat as Contreras. Both won't contend because of the lack of run-support.
nitetrain8601
I think Santana will break that barrier. If he doesn't win, Bart will.

If he doesn't win, Bart will. that same reason was why Peavy didn't win it last year even though he led the Baseball with the best ERA. He only won 15 games last year. Kalapse
Santana is the most valuable pitcher in baseball. There is no other Starting pitcher I would take over him right now.

Benchwarmerjim
Santana has one more start on Sunday He didnt do so good last start. I mean he went 7 inning gave up one run, but only had like 3 strikeout over the Royals. Good start, but I feel he needed a real overhwleming 12-15 k performance to really help his cause

Santana will not win 16. Also that was a strike year. So you would have to assume he would've won about 20 or 21 games.
