RockRaines
QUOTE(Allsox @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 03:20 PM) The Score reported it 'round 3....This game tonight will either be fun bad or fun good :rolly And if Red Sox Nation is irate about the lineup, then tough s***! :finger f*** the red sox and their fans. They are constantly whining. All they have to do is go out and beat the yankees, their playoff hopes are in their hands, not ours.
kapkomet
I think we have a better chance of winning tonight with this lineup then our "regulars". What does that say?

I'm pretty sure the guys who are playing were having a good time as well.

Dick Allen
QUOTE(kapkomet @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 02:55 PM) DING. Winnar. I think I said the same thing about 3 posts up. I would bet you everything I own that if the Yankees clinched the East and the Sox, Boston, and Cleveland were battling for 2 playoff spots, and NY fielded a team of September call-ups, this board would be irate. This will come back to haunt the White Sox someday. I'm all for giving guys some rest. Field a line-up with 3 subs. Pull guys early, but I just don't agree with what's going on the field tonight. That said, watch the Sox win tonight.
kapkomet
And everyone from these other teams you're talking about would tell us to STFU and win out, and that's all that matters. Guess what? It is. They ALL control their own destiny. So, STFU and play ball. Since when did any person from the northeast give a flying f*** what someone from Chicago thinks? Never. I didn't think so. They control their own destinies. STFU, Yankees and Boston and go win out. Edited September 30, 2005 by kapkomet

RockRaines
QUOTE(chisoxfan79 @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 03:58 PM) I do too The Indian probally doesn't have good scouting report on half the guys. I just think a fresh start against Millwood. He is a pitcher who puts alot of thought into his approach at the palte. He may not know how to go against any of these guys, plus they are rested and hungry. You cant tell me that Anderson and Borchard dont feel like they have something to prove. If everyone in the line-up needs a rest, and you want to make sure nobody gets injured, then why don't you just forfeit? I know its the White Sox right to put whoever they want on the field. I know guys on the roster need some rest. If they were playing someone out of contention I would have no problem with tonight's line-up. But I totally agree with Texsox, there is an integrity issue here. Guys can still get rest. You can pull some early. You can sit 2 or 3 of them out, and make another one the DH. The Ginger Kid
QUOTE(kapkomet @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 01:55 PM) I think we have a better chance of winning tonight with this lineup then our "regulars". What does that say? I agree - these guys are going to want to prove something. I think they have every chance of winning this game and look out if it's close late in the game and you've got Konerko, Everett and Crede available to pinch hit. This is great. The starters deserve one game off for chrissakes. The whiners in boston should be glad the starters aren't being trotted out there to go through the motions. Bias
QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 03:16 PM) This is bogus. If the White Sox were playing Cleveland for their playoff lives and either the Yankees or Red Sox put this crap on the field which would hurt their chances, there would be outrage. I have no problem with a regular Sunday line-up tonight, but this is stretching it. If Cleveland rolls tonight, this will have repercussions in the future, believe me. I also wouldn't be surprised if the Ozzie gets a call from the commissioner's office as well. And before anyone skewers me, just put yourselves in NY or Boston's shoes. Neither NY nor Boston have any kind of b****...if they win their games they are in.....if the Yankees win 2 of 3 they are in if Boston sweeps they are in! They control their own destinies right?? Boston especially has no b****...they've blown a 6 game lead and now trail by a game. Yankees sucked ass for most of the season and if they come up a game short they have nobody to blame but themselves for coming up just short. That's why ALL the games count.
