Parking Question

Hey guys, I'm coming in from South Bend tomorrow and I lack a parking pass. I've never really parked in non-parking pass lots, so I was wondering if y'all could help me out with reccomending a few good places to park that take cash. Thanks!

If you want good parking come early

I left at 12:00 in 2000 and I live in the north suburbs

It still took 3 hours to get a spot

Otherwise watch out for people who will try and get you into "fake lots"

See I don't really have the luxury of leaving all that early (can't miss class!). I'm leaving South Bend at 12:30...and it usually takes about 1 hr and a half - 2hours to get to the park. I'm just hoping to find any random cash lot, so the more you guys let me know about a few the better the chance i can get a space. Thanks for all the feedback so far.

If your leaving that late I would park in the city and take the "L" to the park

Champion Chicago White Sox are making the following recommendations to fans planning to attend this week's Division Series games against the Boston Red Sox:

• Game 1 will be played at 3:00 p.m. CT on Tuesday, October 4; Game 2 begins at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 5. Game 5, if necessary, is scheduled for Sunday, October 9.

• Fans should arrive at the ballpark early to avoid traffic. Gates to the ballpark will open two hours prior to each game.

• The White Sox strongly recommend that fans utilize public transportation. The CTA Red Line stops near the ballpark at 35th Street and the Green Line is two blocks farther east.

• Fans driving to the ballpark with a reserved parking coupon should follow the directions on the back of the coupon to reach their assigned parking area. Parking coupons should be displayed prominently as fans approach the ballpark.

• Cash parking will be very limited, and fans intending to drive and pay for cash parking should follow directional signs to available lots.

• Free shuttle service also will be available both days from Michael Reese Hospital (31st and Cottage Grove) and McCormick Place (31st and Moe Drive).

• Tailgating is permitted all three days, and parking lots will open three hours before game time. Tailgating during and after games is prohibited.

• On Tuesday and Wednesday, fans can park in Lot A beginning at 6:00 a.m., take the El to work, and return to the ballpark for the game. Lot A is accessible from Wentworth Avenue between 33rd and 35th streets.

• The Division Series contests are sold out. If fans are not holding tickets for a game, they should not come to the ballpark. No standing-room tickets will be sold.

• Fans holding tickets for the upper level will not be able to access other levels of the ballpark. This policy ensures that fans safely and comfortably enjoy the game with access to the areas of the ballpark where they bought tickets.

• Finally, the White Sox ask fans attending games to be respectful of the neighborhood and homes surrounding the ballpark before and after games.

the church parking lot right behind the scoreboard.

it's on the corner of 31st and wentworth. best parking available.

For those of you planning on parking here.. you need to be here NO LATER then noon, and that might be pushing it. If the parking is anything like it was for the AS game that lot was near filled 4 hours before the game that day.

This is the best suggestion that I have heard. Drive into downtown, park in the west loop or financial district and then walk over the Red Line and take that down to the park.

If you're not afraid to walk about 2.5 additional blocks you can first try the park & ride lots along the green line.

Ashland & Garfield. About 350 spots between them. It's a good rate & the green line runs better than the red line.

You're dropped off at IIT on the East side of State Street which is about an extra 2.5 blocks from the Red line. The Green line is less crowded & seems to run better as a result.

You are gonna be pushing it arriving that late.

I'd drive to Chinatown near 22nd street, park on the street or in one of the lots. Jump on the red line, go south, 1 stop to 35th street. :huh

Supposedly, there's a nice crowd down there already.
