BFirebird
I don't really know the numbers but the White Sox hitting with RISP in this series has to be ridiculous. I know some of it has something to do with the Red Sox pitching but it is a very good sign and very reminiscent of the Angels of 2002. They were not a great offensive club during the regular season but came up HUGE in the playoffs. Keep it up boys and those were the 2 greatest games I have EVER been too!!!! greg775
I was so psyched that Iguchi made 'em pay for the error. What a clutch blast off a veteran who was pitching a helluva game. Clutch hitting! Gotta love it. Nice to get a day off today and enjoy our 2-0 status for now. GO SOX!

RIck Moran
QUOTE(greg775 @ Oct 5, 2005 -> 11:34 PM) I was so psyched that Iguchi made 'em pay for the error. What a clutch blast off a veteran who was pitching a helluva game. Clutch hitting! Gotta love it. Nice to get a day off today and enjoy our 2-0 status for now. GO SOX! Wells curve ball was outstanding. He threw a couple of real yakkers including the pitch immediately prior to Iguchi's home run. And Wells says he hung that breaking ball? Phooey! Replays show it was a real biter. I did a post on my blog about Wells and the curve ball here: http://rightwingnuthouse.com/archives/2005...-thunder-rolls/

DBAHO
In my post before the game in the game thread last night, I stated that Wells's splits with runners on and runners in scoring position were really terrible. All you have to do, is actually get runners on because he hardly walks anyone. And sure we had some luck, but we got to him in those situations eventually. And hitting with RISP was always going to be the key with this offense. You know that we'll sacrifice quite a bit to get guys in SP, we just need to come up with the hits to bring them in, and so far, you can't complain with the execution we've seen by our hitters so far.
