mr_genius
QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 08:44 PM) With Everett, we know what's going to happen pop up or K while trying to go yard. Rowand will K on K-Rod's curve and A.J. will weakly ground out to second. so you're trying to the Sox have a good chance of scoring lol
SSH2005
How can Podsednik not lay down a bunt? He has zero power, questionable defense, and he currently can't even steal a base. What good is he if he can't even lay down a bunt?
DonkeyKongerko
Sacrifice bunts are considered executing the fundamentals. Pods pushed two poor bunt attempts to the left side with Figgins playing in. That is poor execution. Konerko popping up with two out hurts but it's not what I consider "lack of execution." Konerko popping up with two out hurts but it's not what I consider "lack of execution." he wasnt trying to sac bunt. maybe that was a bad choice - and yes he didnt execute - but there were a bunch of times this game where we didnt execute correctly, not just think one instance
whitesoxmanager
QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 07:44 PM) So, this is how the Red Sox felt when absolutely nothing works out for your team, and seemingly every opportunity to score is squandered. Again, this is pathetic. And disgraceful. Pods can thank himself for failing to put down a bunt when it was needed. This game would have been tied. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> the ball was hit too hard uribe wouldve been tossed at home by vladdy. he has a cannon. hell he couldn't even go to 3rd. + he shouldve slapped something either down 1st or 3rd. southsideirish71
The story of this game. We only score 2 f***ing runs off Byrd. The pitchers get better after byrd.
