bigred3535
I'm thinking we should go with the man with big game experience...he's started Game 1 before and I think you all know who I'm talking about. Jim "Butter" Parque

bigred3535
I think Kenny deserves some serious props: 2000: 1. Jim Parque 2. James Baldwin 3. Mike Sirotka 2005 (in no particular order): 1. Mark Buehrle 2. Freddy Garcia 3. Jon Garland 4. Jose Contreras 5. Brandon McCarthy 6. Orlando Hernandez I'll take anyone from 2005 over 2000

Although Cal Eldred was solid when healthy. He'd have fit nicely on this staff.
DonkeyKongerko
What about offensively? 2000 Offense scores 7 runs and gets swept. 2005 Offense scores 24 runs and sweeps!!
qwerty
QUOTE(The Critic @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 06:52 PM) Truth. Although Cal Eldred was solid when healthy. He'd have fit nicely on this staff. He would have had the highest era out of five of the six starters we had pitch for us this year.

Numbers are a good indicator, but don't always tell the entire story. Eldred was a battler and could get some key outs. I'd take the 2000 Eldred (when healthy) over Marte or Viz.
