NUKE_CLEVELAND
The Red Sucks and Flubbs are playing golf already. If the Spankees get eliminated by the Angels does that mean that ESPN goes off the air for the season? If that happens they wont have anyone left to cheer for. kdhargo
I've got an 'ESPN Question' too and I'll tag it off of your post: Is anyone else annoyed w/ ESPNs "assessment" that this is the first postseason series the White Sox have won since 1917? Did the Sox not win a 'postseason series' to get the World Series in 1919? Did the Sox not win a 'postseason series' to get to the World Series in 1959? SSH2005
Haha, good point. You know they are hating how the two A.L. series have gone so far.
WSoxMatt
QUOTE(kdhargo @ Oct 8, 2005 -> 06:32 AM) Did the Sox not win a 'postseason series' to get the World Series in 1919? Did the Sox not win a 'postseason series' to get to the World Series in 1959? No they didnt, Division play didnt start until 1967, before then if you finished 1st in the AL or NL, you went to the World Series
Felix
The White Sox winning has screwed their take on this years postseason (Boston repeating in the ALCS against the Yankees), but now they'll play up the White Sox "curse" (there's no such thing as a curse..) An Angels win today means that Baseball Tonight will be disbanded and Sportscenter will be wall to wall football highlights. I can't wait. LosMediasBlancas
I'll put up with the ESPN Yankee slurpfest if it means the Yankees advance to the ALCS. I want NO part of Anaheim. ESPN and Berman should be embarassed by his performance last night.

So true. The Red Sux and the Cubs were/are not cursed. They just suck(ed). Our team has sucked in the past. We can admit that. That's why we don't have a "curse" ESPN should shut up about the "Shoeless Joe curse" THERE IS NO SUCH THING!!

Not only do they make up our curse they called it the curse of 1917. It would be 1919 dickheads. We do not need excuses like those f***tards on the north side or the red sauks who just could never beat new york. no we are not cursed we have just sucked for really long. nothing wrong with the truth. YASNY
We need to flood espn with emails saying that there is no curse, Sox fans don't claim a curse, don't believe a curse exists. That is just too Cub-like.
