Tadahito Iguchi
I do it, but, for some reason i see some people at the ballpark who are not advocates of this. I don't know this is kind of a stupid poll. Edited October 9, 2005 by Tadahito Iguchi

iWiN4PreP
I love it - its a way of recognition to our best bat. "Paul-ie Paulie" just gets the intensity going in a big-at-bat However - some1 on this board said something that usually when the paulie chant erose's - then paulie ends up getting out - im not sure if thats true all the time or not, but that wud suck if it had something mentally wrong with paulie and made him try to hard lol

Rowand44
I'm so nervous during games that I rarely do chants.

And because of that, I hate the chant. I've only seen him be successfull with that chant going on 3 times(and that was this year while in the chat). Lefty Of Love
When you're at the game, it's fun to chant and do other stupid s***. I was at a Bears game earlier this year and some woman in front of me went off when the PA guy said "There's a timeout" and the crowd goes "Where" and the PA guy says "On the field" and the crowd goes "Ohhhhhh." This lady thought it was the stupidest s*** ever and couldn't believe anyone in their right mind would play along. Sheesh, sports is supposed to be fun. MinnySoxFan
I still don't know whether cheering is supposed to help the pitcher or the batter. Maybe I'm thinking about it in too much of a football type of way. Edited October 9, 2005 by MinnySoxFan
GoodAsGould
I like the chant when he is playing good or is having a good game. But during the season even when pauly was struggling and playing like crap it really annoyed me. The only person on our team that deserves a chant no matter how good or bad he plays is Frank Thomas... Konerko should have his pauly chant but lets only use it when he deserves it. Mercy!
I think chants at games are great fun – cheers on the players; bonds the fans; hey, it IS a game! But I have a slight thing against creating diminutive forms of proper names of grown men. Unless you’re married to the guy. Or at least those names where it’s not already common (like, say, Bobby or Billy). I’m probably in the minority here on that point. Anyway, it’s so often used as a form of taunting at sports events – do you remember the “Jo-ey, Jo-ey” that always seemed to follow Albert Belle around? I'm never quite sure if someone isn't being razzed when I hear those "-ee" chants.
YASNY
It's much better than the chant for Ordonez was.
The Critic
I love it because my daughter loves it. She chants PAUL-EE, PAUL-EE even at home when Konerko comes to bat. She also like to chant J-D for Dye and A-J for Pierzynski. My kid RAWKZ!!!!
The Critic
QUOTE(YASNY @ Oct 9, 2005 -> 05:05 AM) It's much better than the chant for Ordonez was. I thought my daughter would miss the Ordonez and Valentin songs more than she has. She never mentions Jose ( nor does almost anyone else, HAHAAAAA ) and when she saw Magglio in a Tigers uni she asked me "We don't like him anymore, right Dad?" Again.....my kid RAWKZ!!!
