DBAHO
QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 12:16 AM) All because he took the ball away from Randy Moss... Football's version of a one hit wonder Suddenly with Tillman struggling, Vasher already being moved into a starter's role when he's probably not ready, and Jerry Azumah who's not good enough to be a starter, Chicago's CB's don't look all that good. But they've got plenty of time to turn it around still. And oh yeah, Antonio Bryant's a good one, when he ain't runnin his mouth.

Vasher would be an excellent nickle cornerback. He plays the position well but does not have the speed or size to play at high level. He has to be on the field but often when he is matched up against the number 1 or 2 reciever it is a bad mismatch in athleticism. Azumah still isn't back from that hip injury. Its obvious in his kickoff returns. Until he heals, which may never happen, he can't possibly start. Antonio Bryant is a player...not many know his name but hes a superfreak. See thats the problem. Azumah and Vasher are great 2 and 3's respectively. While I think Vasher has #1 potential he is definitely not ready yet. So with Tillman playing like s*** you have no #1 and that's a problem.
GoodAsGould
I still think in the draft next year if we end up with a top 10 pick get a stud CB, than try to get a difference maker at the TE position... doesnt have to be Tony G, Gates, or Crumpler but a guy like Written or something around that. Than spend the 3,4, and 5 round picks on OL depth. Than only f/a that needs to be brought in is someone to take Hunter Hillenmeyer's spot and are team will be complete. We will have the depth at QB position with Orton a year under his belt and Rex healthy so that problem should take care of itself next season. But yeah id say the 3 major holes on our team is a stud CB, OLB, and TE. Maybe bring in a decent WR to compete for the 2-3 spot but I believe in Bradley and that he will step up his game. Than since our backups on the O-Line are like Q-Mitchell, and that St. Clair or whatver guy from Miami we could take some players there. I think Garza will be a starter next year and Brown will retire. And after that first series Garza really looked good out there and Metcalf has looked good at the other guard spot too. You can definitely still get a stud TE after round 1. Witten was a 3rd round pick, who slipped and he was only 20 in his 1st season. And really over the past few seasons, they have been used a lot more in the passing attack for a lot of offenses.

Yeah I know you can get one in the 3rd or 4th round but if their is one who is talented enough to go in the 2nd round I think we should grab him... hell if there is one talented enough to be in the 1st id want to take him unless there was an absolute stud CB like DeAngelo Hall or that sort.
