Winning Ugly
http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/gen/wire?...sageId=16873866 Weird story: ST. PETERSBURG, Florida (Ticker) - Tampa Bay Devil Rays prospect Josh Hamilton, who has gone from top pick to top bust, has been granted a personal leave for the rest of the season, the team announced Tuesday. Hamilton, who has been playing at Class AA Orlando of the Southern League, was granted the leave just 10 days after he returned from a mysterious six-week absence. The Devil Rays did not give a reason for Hamilton's latest departure, saying only, "The purpose of the leave is to provide Josh an opportunity to address certain private, non-baseball matters." Linda Hamilton, Josh's mother, told the St. Petersburg Times that her son is "just taking some personal time, like everyone else. He's fine. It's just some personal time." He has yet to play this season. So THAT'S what the manly chick from the Terminator movies has been up to. lol

mreye
Maybe his leave of absence can be explained by him traveling to the future to fight a war with drones.

Chisoxfn
That is really weird. I wonder if he'll be able to make it. Right now if I was another gm i'd be on the phone trying to swing a deal for Hamilton hoping you could get him for lesser value, then convince him to get things back together mentally, cause he's an absolute stud of a prospect. How about Malone for Hamilton and we'll throw in some change
IlliniKrush
The problem with Hamilton is that he's been hurt every damn year and has missed a ton of time
southsider2k5
He has had tons of mental problems too. I have a feeling that this kid is flaming out right before our eyes.
Rex Hudler
The problem with Hamilton is that he's been hurt every damn year and has missed a ton of time Turning him into a pitcher and starting over with him might work. I think the kid just crumbled under expectations and pressure, much of it self-imposed, I'm sure.
