Buehrle>Wood
Honestly, WTF? Crede, way to choke yet again. Dye, I don't even know what the hell you are thinking Podz, congrats on becoming utterly useless, all-star. Arow, don't bunt, just don't bunt ever again. I have never seen a bigger disadvantage in the dugout with Scioscia absolutly raping Ozzie. Edited October 12, 2005 by Buehrle>Wood

IlliniKrush
Thing is, ARow shouldn't have been bunting in the first place, not off KRod. You can't give him outs, and he's difficult to bunt off of.

Jordan4life_2007
We failed to get to Byrd early. Once you let any pitcher get in a rhythm, no matter who it is, it's gonna be tough. But even with that, we had some chances to do some damage. We executed horribly. Edited October 12, 2005 by Jordan4life_2005
CWSGuy406
QUOTE(Jordan4life_2005 @ Oct 12, 2005 -> 03:12 AM) We executed horribly. ^^^^^ We also gave them... off the top of my head, two outs (AJ CS, and Rowand bunting). Plus, Podsednik's two failed bunt attempts put him in a hole that he likely wasn't going to get out of. Mark, we need you tomorrow.
Flash Tizzle
QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 09:12 PM) Thing is, ARow shouldn't have been bunting in the first place, not off KRod. You can't give him outs, and he's difficult to bunt off of. Rowand seemingly has this inability to direct the bat towards the direction he intends on bunting. Whether it's off Rodriguez or another pitcher, he's shown absolutely no ability to lay down a successful sacrifice bunt. I believe he was more afraid of swinging, and risking a DP, than producing a hit. And let's not even discuss Dye's mistake in the 6th inning. I don't want to anger myself anymore than I currently am. We go to Anaheim down 0-2 and you may as well stick a fork in us.
Milkman delivers
This game was nothing but frustrating. Maybe the Sox should fly to Anaheim and back tonight, and then they might do well. Let's go, Mark "Big Game" Buehrle.
Flash Tizzle
QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 09:18 PM) Let's go, Mark "Big Game" Buehrle. That distinguished title doesn't belong attached to Buehlre's name. Although the Angles are one of the few above average clubs he's pitched well against, I believe both matchups were without Guerrero.
Frankensteiner
It seems to me Contreras pitched a good game today. The "step it up" for tomorrow's game should not be directed towards our pitcher but rather our hitting/defense.
WilliamTell
As poor as we played, at least we were in the game the whole time. That has to count for something, obviously not a win but I don't think tomorrow can get much worse, or can it?

This team is a playoff team, thats won one round and got beat. They hit Byrd up later in the game and just had some hang wiff ems. And Crede sure didn't choke early in the game when he hammered a solo shot. Seriously, shut the f*** up. There's another game tomorrow and I'm not gonna deal with people jumping off ledges. They do that and this series will be notted at one, but thats what they need to focus on. And everyone b****ing and moaning, sit down, shut up, and enjoy the ride. This is White Sox baseball and they got some fight left in em. You can bet your asses they do.

greg775
I was afraid we would come out flat. Here in Ks. everybody all day was saying how unfair it was for the Angels to have to travel all this much. That took the pressure off them. Nobody expected them to win. Hope we can get the fire back cause we aren't the lovable underdogs this series. That feeble bunt try by Aaron was not good right after the error at 3B. It wasn't our night for crispness, tho what a great effort by Contreras!

Hang wiff ems? I saw pop-ups, ground outs, and horrible bunt attempts. I remember AJ hitting the ball hard (but that was off KRod) and Uribe hit a hard fly out to Anderson (off Byrd). Sox hitters looked fooled for most of the game.

Overall, people are just frustrated we beat ourselves. Every loss isn't the same. I'm more frustrated over this one than i would be a 'normal' loss. You just hate to give away games in the playoffs.
