fathom
QUOTE(CYGarland @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 02:49 AM) They keep jamming him inside. Whyhe hasn't moved off the plate a bit is beyond me And leave himself even more vulnerable to the outside offspeed pitch? As someone said just a few seconds ago, he'd make a great 4th outfielder. Dick Allen
QUOTE(fathom @ Oct 14, 2005 -> 08:51 PM) And leave himself even more vulnerable to the outside offspeed pitch? As someone said just a few seconds ago, he'd make a great 4th outfielder. If anything, I'd like to see him get right up on the plate. It will make him shorten his swing, which last season was as compact as any you would ever see, and would give him a better chance when he fishes for those sliders a foot off the plate. CYGarland
QUOTE(fathom @ Oct 14, 2005 -> 07:51 PM) And leave himself even more vulnerable to the outside offspeed pitch? As someone said just a few seconds ago, he'd make a great 4th outfielder. He has to learn to layoff that pitch. If not, then he should be a 4th outfielder.
