(Oh, and to Ozzie Guillen also...the kid's somewhere in his family tree too) BIRTH DAY: Freddy Garcia was not with the White Sox after his wife, Glendys, went into labor with the couple's first child. Sophia Garcia was born Wednesday afternoon. Glendys is Guillen's second cousin. Garcia was not required to be on the team's charter flight Wednesday and will fly on his own to Anaheim today. Garcia, who picked up the victories in the Sox' AL Central title clincher and the Division Series clincher, will make his first start of the ALCS on Saturday against the Angels' Ervin Santana. Also, froma selfish White Sox perspective-it means Freddy doesn't have to make a brutally tough choice that he would have had to make if the baby girl were to be born 2-3 days later. Congrats again.
