How many of them thanked greasywheels??

It's days like today that may have a major effect on whether guys like DJ White and Vaden stay.

I'm watching the Nova-UConn game and a few minutes ago saw Nova run a real nice backdoor alleyoop for a dunk to one of their guards.  Made me wonder, why IU doesn't design those kind of plays for guys like Wilmont and/or Ratliff?  Both of those guys are athletic enough and you would think with most teams worried about guarding Killingsworth inside and defending the three there would be opportunities for such plays.

Haha. Kline personally thanked my roomy, who's a manager.

And I kept saying that after Vaden hit a big 3 towards the end of the game. "He's not leaving! He's not leaving!" They were really getting into it today though. We had an IU chant going at the end of the game, and Vaden was clapping along with it. Today was good.

Well Zach, I did leave early, but listened to the speeches in the car.

I think IU played great today and they should be in the dance, as long as they beat Purdue and then win a game in the Big 10 tourney.

Huge game for them today and the crowd at Assembly Hall was awesome.

Good stuff. The crowd was definitely great today. This will be a big momentum booster going into a place like Purdue. It'll make that game seem that much easier.

17 wins is the magic number.

Purdue should already be an easy team. You shouldn't need momentum to beat them if you're a deserving tournament team. And yes, I've factored in that Purdue is your biggest rival.

And the fact that IU is 0-6 on the road in the Big Ten at this point?

Things are a bit different in this case. This season's been a roller coaster.

Everything started out pretty decent, and then DJ got back. We were a top 10 team, and then he goes down again. That did a number on everyone. It got the annual "What's going to happen Davis?" talks the loudest they have ever been. Things have leveled off a little bit since the resignation, because it's just calmed a lot of things. Coach, the players, and the fans are all relieved now.

I would say we should be expected to beat Purdue, and I think we can and will. However, with the way this season's gone, nothing is a guarantee.

I would love for this team to find those 2 wins and get into the tournament. Anything after that is gravy. I don't expect this to end up with the same happy ending the White Sox just had, but our regular seasons are very analogous thus far.

Lunardi was just on college gamenight. He has SIU and IU in now, so that's nice for me and greasy. I still think we have to get to the championship to get in but who the hell knows. Our resume is really better then most bubble teams but I just get the feeling that the committee won't want to take 5-6 mvc teams, though if you're just looking at the resume, all 6 should really have a good shot. We'll see, it's going to be a fun weekend in St. Louis and if we don't come out the winner there, it's going to be a nervous week.

That's not a terrible bracket for us, i'd take that. Hopefully we can do well enough the rest of the way so we can get a 3 and avoid the 4/5 game and the 1 vs 4/5 game, that's my hope.

I'm starting to like you more and more each day

:D I actually root for the Illini and for the most part all big 10 teams, especially come tourney time. I remember going nuts during that run against AZ. Definately the best comeback and one of the funnest college basketball games in my lifetime.

I do hate Indiana though.
