If Duke takes care of business in the ACC tourney, then I agree, 1 seed no doubt. But if they falter again in the ACC tourney, someone like GW, OSU, or Gonzaga could sneak up and steal the last 1 seed.

I really, really doubt GW or the zags get a 1 seed. OSU has a legit shot but Duke's profile is still better then all of the others to land that one, including Memphis who I believe would be the odd team out of the 1 seeds if OSU gets one.

Wow, the basketball gods really wanted me to look stupid today. I talk up NC State's chances to make a decent run in the tourney, and they promptly lay an egg against Wake. I say that I don't really like UNC's chances to make a good run, and they go out and beat Duke. I say I like Georgetown, and they get beat by friggin South Florida! Damn.

Maybe I should change my opinion on NC State given how they are playing right now. I could understand UNC and a close one to BC, but Wake Forest? If they are a quick out in the ACC tourney, I renounce all faith in their chances to do anything. I still don't really like UNC outside of Hansborough and Terry, but obviously they are playing a lot better right now. As for Georgetown, that's just weird. South Florida shot well, but there's still no excuse. They're trying to make me have to drop them to.

New rule for myself: No more predictions until the brackets come out. All the partial information is just giving me chances to stick my foot in my mouth. :P

GW has no chance at all at a 1 seed and I think OSU already is one.

I don't know, GW is ranked #6 and #7 right now in the ESPN/AP polls, and if they win their tourney with Pops coming back, they would end up somewhere around 29-1 while creeping up the official NCAA RPI where the moved up to #29 this week from #33. If they sneak into the RPI top 25, it could be an argument they make.

No chance whatsoever. They have 2 top 50 wins, both of which were against St. Joes who may not even make the tourney and they have one other good win against Maryland who probably won't make the tourney. They might end up making noise in the tourney but if they get a #1 seed it would be an absolute joke. To be honest I would be surprised if they even get a 2 seed.

Good win today for the Illini...also love to see Duke with the L.

The new bracketology that is up...couldn't help but notice that in that one there is a possibility of an Atlanta regional final four consisting of Duke, Kansas, Tennessee, and Illinois.

Palehose, do you think Tyler Hansbrough will leave school after this year and enter the NBA draft? They were talking about it on the Score. Some think it would be wise for him to leave now since one, there's really no good bigs outside of Williams and Aldridge coming out and two, 07 will be the "Oden" draft. I must admit, I didn't know much about the kid until the 40 point explosion against Ga Tech. He's definitely a baller.

I am so sos so so so so happy Duke lost. ESPN must be kicking themselves in the head right now, all those disgusting cameras to watch JJ "s*** the bed". JJ is probably the biggest choke artist in the month of March. He is horrid in the tourney every single year, someone else can find his numbers. I am so glad UNC won, that made my week.

Sorry i really hate everything about Duke. Also, can Vitale make any more excuses for little precious JJ and the choke artists that is Duke.

Now go Sooners, give kansas the championship outright.

All this talk about OSU as a 1 seed, I really dont want to see them get the 1 seed. The two seed will have them playing their first weekend in Dayton. These will basically be home games for them. Who knows where they will go if they are the 1 seed.

Tyler wouldn't be drafted over big guys like Aldridge, Bargnani, Tyrus Thomas, Al Horford, Shelden Williams, Hilton Armstrong etc, which would put him out of the lottery. He has alot of stuff to work on as a player, he just gets his stats from pure hustle and relentlessness. He's still a poor defender, average rebounder, and still gets worn down late in games. He has no reason to leave, as he's not going to be drafted over Oden even if he averages 50 ppg next year :-), and he has a legitimate post player coming in next year to take the double teams off of him, and he has an amazing PG coming in that will keep him fed down low. Not to mention his family is well off as well, but if he's a guaranteed lottery pick, I couldn't fault him. I just REALLY don't see that happening. Even a guy like Glen Davis would be jockeying with Tyler for draft positions this year.
