I know I am biased so I will ask others.....

Am I nuts or is UConn just that damned good? They are making fall away shots, making shots when they aren't squared to the basket AND a guys hand in their face.

IU has weaknesses inside, there is no doubt about that. But I think UConn is just playing THAT GOOD in the 2nd half as opposed to IU being bad.

They're the best team in the country, obviously doesn't mean they are going to win the whole thing but imo there is no one better then them.

Wow, I'm guessing I'm the only one watching the Big 12, but the Missouri @ Texas Tech game has been an interesting one to watch to say the least. Tech was up by something like 23 at halftime, but Missouri has cut the lead in half with around 8 minutes left in the game. Tech shot 65% or so in the first half but have been slowed down, only scoring 9 points in 12 or so minutes.

TTU confusing the heck out of me. 12-10 after today. Here's the rest of their schedule.

L 02/6 No. 8 Texas

L?? 02/11 at No. 25 Colorado

W 02/15 Kansas State

W 02/18 at Nebraska

L?? 02/20 No. 18 Oklahoma

W 02/25 at Oklahoma State

W03/1 at Baylor

W 03/4 Texas A&M

That would be 17-13 heading into the Big 12 tourney, 2 wins in the Big 12 tourney and I think they are in at 19-14.

Of course, Nebraska, OSU, and Texas A&M could be losses, but then again they could suprise again and beat Colorado and OU at their place. Atleast there's a chance at the tourney, which is pretty crazy considering the slow start this year. But I believe 19 wins is the minimum for the tourney to consider them, so I'm not holding my breath.

Well after seeing both Duke and UConn this year, there's no doubt in my mind that UConn is the better team and will win it all. They're so deep; they had 6 guys in double digits today.

Indiana certainly had a crack at them though. We were cruising the first 14 minutes of the game, and everything was looking easy. And that's really where the game ended. We were up 9, and Killingsworth gets a cheap foul on the defensive end. That was his second, and a huge dagger.

UConn took advantage, and went on a ridiculous run. Indiana started looking lost, and didn't really have a clue on either end at that point. The game looked like it was going to be a blowout, until Calloway came in.

He was a huge spark, and he got us within 7, with opportunities to close the lead within 4 and 6 points. However, it just didn't happen, UConn is just ridiculously good.

Indiana's got to come back and make sure we don't have another 2 game losing streak, with a game at Wiscy on Wednesday.

Hour away from Iowa/Mich.  Should be a great game.

Ya, I wish it were televised. Imo, its the most important game of the weekend. I realize Uconn IU has glamor, but this is two of the 3 best teams in the big 10 (standings wise, cause I don't think Michigan or Iowa are better than MSU) nor do I think the Illini are.

That said MSU hasn't shown up every night and they've paid that price. Wish I coudl see the game. It would be a huge win for the Hawks big 10 chances. Gotta protect home court.

WCIU in Chicago..

Time for an Iowa choke job. The just said this is the first time Iowa has been in first place in the Big ten in February since 1981.

It just sucks that Michigan is playing their best basketball of the decade.

I can say with a high level of confidence Duke won't go to the Final 4. They will always get calls, but not like at Cameron, and they simply don't have the athletes to play that pressure defense this year. Good to see Michigan getting smacked down, hopefully this sends them into a tailspin, and with the way road wins are this year, gotta root for Iowa here. Plus, Illinois gets a shot at Iowa in Champaign still.

Also, NIU destroyed Western Michigan by 26 today, taking a 1 game lead in the loss column in the MAC West. The crowd was actually into it today, and NIU played an awesome game against a team that had won 6 in a row. Very nice to see, hopefully the Illini do their thing tonight.

Cripes...Iowa wins by 28. Wow, I am shocked they were able to put up that many points. Obviously they were on fire. I do think one of the big keys to watch is to see if Horner losing the brace helps the rest of the offense.

Last year you wouldn't be able to play soft d on Horner, but this year (with the brace) he would basically shoot up misses for ya when left open. Didn't have the night he had against Purdue but just judging by the %'s it looked like he was again shooting the ball more like the old Horner and not the one we've seen most of this season.

Haluska with another nice night. He's going to have to continue to grow because if this team is going to do anything next year it will be up to Adam cause the rest of our starters are gone at the end of the year. Which is why thus far this has been just an awesome year.

I hope they can keep it up, but if they are able to improve their ball movement on offensive possessions and continue to play tough defense, I think Iowa has a shot. Although I still fear how we've played on the road and we do tend to play down to our level of competition.

Still, hell of a win for the Hawks.
