Rowand44
QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Feb 13, 2006 -> 03:38 PM) I honestly don't care. Making the tournament doesn't do much good. We have higher expectations than that. Making the tournament is not a goal, it should be expected with our history. Hence, Mike Davis is sitting on a seat of fire. I'm just giving you s***. I would honestly would just love to somehow get a 7. There are teams going for that 2 seed that I would see it possible for us to beat. Still got 4 games left and 3 very tough ones. Kyyle23
Does everyone remember watching the commercials for "Ronnie Fields: The Art of Dunk" while watching Sox games on Sportschannel? I certainly do, they played that highlight reel all the time.
Chisoxfn
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Feb 13, 2006 -> 01:16 PM) New bracketology is out http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/bracketology . Joe has SIU as a 7. He still has the mvc with 4 and mo state out. Illinois as a 4 in here as well. Cripes..Iowa a 3 now. Now we are in a position where if they are a 3 and they lose they turn into total embarassments. I've been hooked on college football since the Colorado/Michigan hail mary game in 1994 and I remember being glad that Arkansas beat Duke to win the NCAA title. whitesoxfan101
QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Feb 13, 2006 -> 03:45 PM) Cripes..Iowa a 3 now. Now we are in a position where if they are a 3 and they lose they turn into total embarassments. Iowa could go to the elite 8 or lose in the 1st round based on their bracket. Just avoid long armed, athletic teams.....the Iowa white boys can play, but are just not very athletic and not very big other than Hanson.
Chisoxfn
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Feb 13, 2006 -> 01:46 PM) Iowa could go to the elite 8 or lose in the 1st round based on their bracket. Just avoid long armed, athletic teams.....the Iowa white boys can play, but are just not very athletic and not very big other than Hanson. If they play a team with some good bigs and Hanson is in foul trouble they are probably toast. That said Thomas is a pretty good defensive player (off the bench) and his physical style has really given at least a few quality bigs some trouble. I'm thinking they are a sweet 16 team, but anything can happen. Plus we still have a lot of the regular season left. If they go elite 8...well I'll be dancing a jig. Soxbadger
Wisconsin at a 7 but a nice bracket for them match up wise, I expect by the end of the season if they play a few more good games they are in the 4-6 range.

Chisoxfn
Big game in the big 10 on TV tomorrow. I'm glad to see Aaron Andrews will be in attendance w/Lavin and Munsberger. Spartans @ Iowa and Iowa will be looking to redeem themselves from there worse loss on the season. Should be a great game and if Iowa can hold home court it will help seperate them from the rest of the big 10 and further make it a 2 team race (OSU/Iowa). But with the rest of the big 10 so close behind, I have my doubts, plus MSU plays great against the Hawks. I'm gonna be pulling for em though and I can't wait. UConn-Vill tonight and than my Hawks tomorrow

Nice reference, but I think you're thinking of the reefer. ISU athletics are quite possibly more depressing than being a Sox fan was before last year. No conference football championships in school history that haven't been shared. Reached the Final Four once and the Elite Eight twice in school history. Thank God for wrestling, mens gymnastics and cross country or we'd have no national championships.
