Stole this from Illiniboard...apparently Knight walked off the set of Cold Pizza today:

Dana was asking him how long he would continue coaching.

Knight gave some general answer about he's going to continue coaching as long as anyone else, coaching is the only thing he knows how to do and Dana tried to press him for a more specific answer.

A peeved Knight responded asking her how long she would continue to cook breakfast. Dana tried to brush off the barb by saying she's a good cook.

Then she went into an Indiana question and before she could finish it Knight interrupted "I have no interest in discussing Indiana. NEXT QUESTION."

But Dana didn't stop and kept on with another Indiana question and Knight again said he didn't want to discuss Indiana and removed his earpiece.

Missouri to investigate handling of Snyder's departure

The University of Missouri will investigate the circumstances that led to Quin Snyder's sudden resignation as men's basketball coach last week.

Snyder stepped down Friday, a day after vowing to finish his seventh season with the Tigers. A report in the Kansas City Star said athletic director Mike Alden sent his special assistant, Gary Link, to inform Snyder that he would not be retained.

Link has had no comment about his role in Snyder's resignation. Alden has said he asked Link to "gauge how he's doing," but not to inform Snyder that he was a lame duck. Link (he?) did not return phone calls Tuesday.

University spokesman Joe Moore said Tuesday that Elson Floyd, Missouri systems president, asked Chancellor Brady Deaton to investigate the situation. Chad Moller, the school's sports information director, also confirmed the decision to "take a look at the course of the events."

"Dr. Floyd did ask Chancellor Deaton to look into some questions regarding events surrounding coach Snyder's decision to depart," Moore said.

Missouri won its first game without Snyder on Sunday, ending a six-game losing streak behind interim coach Melvin Watkins. The Tigers are 11-11 overall and 4-7 in the Big 12 with five regular-season games remaining.

Snyder was scheduled to make his first public comments since his departure at a news conference later Tuesday in Columbia, Mo. His lawyer, Wally Bley, said the former coach had been awaiting a signed settlement agreement.

A copy of that settlement, posted on the university's Web site Tuesday evening, shows the coach will receive at least $574,000. Snyder had two years remaining on a contract that paid him $195,000 annually.

"If you were involved in this, wouldn't you want this to be signed, sealed and delivered?" Bley said. "We've got to have the deal done. I've got to see this in writing."

Bley also represented former Missouri point guard Ricky Clemons, whose troubles off the court in part led to Snyder's downfall after leading the school to the NCAA tournament his first four seasons.

Missouri was 42-42 under Snyder over his final three seasons.

Haha yep. He almost fell over taking out his ear piece. They showed it on PTI.

Nice, i had class so i missed it...classic Knight.

I think i'm gonna tune into Knight School...it starts sunday doesn't it?

I just think it will be entertaining as hell

Yep. It'll be interesting. I wish it didn't just cover tryouts/practices. Because this would be a funny season to track Knight's team, being all the people they've lost midseason and what not.

I wouldn't go to DePaul if I were him. They already recruited two fairly talented PG's in the past two years in Curry and Walker. They also are seriously out-classed in the Big East. They just don't have the wing players or big men to hang with the good teams, and only Clarke and Chandler really have any hope.

Now if he were to play for the Illini...

Don't hate... :)

Sammy is a senior next year. Walker seems like a scorer. Manual Cass, a PF playing at Boys to Men (and already somewhat problematic), is coming. Chandler will have a year under his belt. And we've got a 7'1 transfer from Temple next year.

I'll gladly take another guard if he can help the team.
