illinilaw08
QUOTE(Elcaballo45 @ Jan 9, 2006 -> 12:10 PM) I'm pretty sure they should be able to medical redshirt him. I remember Andy Krupalia for Illinois about 4 years ago played like 5 or 6 games and then medically redshirted. I think the max games might be 8 to 10. Or im talking out my ass... who knows, it's Monday. It was Damir Krupalija, and yeah he did receive a medical red-shirt. The NCAA has to approve it, but they usually do. Brian Randle received one from last year even though he played in a few games at the very start of the year as well. All in all though a very tough blow for IU though I still think they will go as the outside shooting takes them. Killingsworth is still in my opinion the top big man in the big 10, but if Vaden and Strickland hit big shots, IU is still going to be very dangerous. Chisoxfn
Jess Settles for the Hawkeyes ended up being in Iowa City for something like 6 years due to injuries and such. Mainly his back, but I remember one season he played a few games and than had to have back surgery or something and he was declared a medical redshirt. Soxbadger
Wisconsin a 2 seed. That would be pretty remarkable considering better teams Wisconsin teams have been given much worse seeds. But ive always thought that part of rankings is based on what you have done years prior, as much as it is on this year. SB

Soxbadger
Wisconsin has been Big 10 champion before and been seeded low, so its just something you expect. I generally feel Wisconsin has gotten some pretty rough draws and seeds the last few years, so I expect the worst. Wisconsin generally has a chance to do well because of the Ryan system, and for whatever reason other teams just do not play well in the Kohl Center so home games are almost always wins. Although one of these days I'm gonna get off my ass and go to a game. Our arena is smaller than my high school arena and I swear some of my high school basketball teams would have whipped up on Fullerton's team. That said it was cool how they made the NIT last year and this year they have a solid squad.

Palehosefan
Man, nobody wants to play VT this year. They have some crazy athleticism with plenty of ballhandling and will pull a few big upsets this year. Meanwhile, Roy has coached UNC to 10-2 now, and 2-0 on the ACC. I'm teetering on the fence about getting my hopes up for a tournament berth, as I know this team will lose a few that they shouldn't have with the inexperience. But its a hell of alotta fun watching them try.
danman31
QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jan 10, 2006 -> 09:08 PM) #22 Oklahoma loses to Missouri at home 71-69, to start conference play at 0-2. How about that? OU really looks bad right now. They're best win is probably Alabama and that's not saying much right now. Losses at Nebraska and at home to Mizzou aren't the way a tournament team starts its conference play. How about Mizzou though? That's 5 wins in a row since the Illinois debacle including 2-0 in the Big 12. I said Snyder needs to make the tourney to save his job, while it's still a stretch it's becoming a possibility with the way this team is improving. whitesoxfan101
Misery with an amazing turnaround, this is great!! Now Quinny Poo might stay after all!! Plus, the beatdown of them in Stl. by the Illini looks better and better every day. Go Tigers!! Oh, and Kentucky f***ING SUCKS......Tubby Smith seat is getting warmer by the day. A 57-52 loss at home tonight to Vandy. Vandy has a nice team, but UK is now 10-5 (0-2) and just looks hapless.
